Does anyone use a walking pad?

Average work day i get around 800-1000 steps in. My target is 5000 but can only reach it at weekends or if i am off work. Sedentary job requiring me to be glued to the computer. I worked from 8.30am-10pm yesterday, total step count 780. I work from home so put loads of hours in (job is very full on).
Does anyone use a walking pad to get their steps in? I do go to the gym when I can but if I finish work late it's closed. Mornings need to get children ready for school and nursery so can't go then.
Im just looking at ways to increase my TDEE which is very very low.
Im 5 ft 4 172.8 pounds and TDEE around 1550

Why not try exercising at home when you can’t get to the gym?

I like Growingannanas for cardio, though Heather Robertson is also very good - a bit more Pilates based. And Caroline Girvan for weight training.

Im doing home workouts and I have weights too but sometimes I am so tired but I think i would be able to walk while watching tv for example on the days im exhausted. I do try my best and am losing weekly but it's a real effort. Im hoping if I can incorporate more steps too it can become a habit that will help me keep the weight off once I get to goal.

I have one without handles to go under my desk. I love it and it’s definitely upped my step count.

I tend to do short bursts (15 minutes) and like to read on it before work for 30 minutes to an hour. I have awful balance and I’m just about ok when not at the desk as long as I don’t try to look behind me 😂

Mine is a ‘CITYSPORTS Walking Pad,Treadmill with Remote,1-6km/h Under Desk Treadmill’. £140 from Amazon.

I would also recommend changing to a 24 hour gym. I drive 13 miles each way but it’s worth it. I do a couple of classes a week and use the gym if I have time (I don’t have very young children though so can workout at 5am or 7pm etc!).

I also like home workouts. I like Cat Jane fitness.
