Where to buy without GP notification

I’m hoping to try one of the weight loss injections. Am only just eligible BMI wise (I have PCOS and insulin resistance so can hopefully access it at bmi 27-28) but I’m reluctant to have the gp notification as I'm a health professional and fear judgement.

Is anyone aware of online pharmacies that don’t require GP notification? I’m happy to provide evidence of weight etc so they can assure themselves it’s suitable. I’m a pharmacist so confident I could monitor things myself.

Voy ask you but even if you tick yes they don't ask for any GP details so not sure if they actually do let them know!

You can tick no though.

I went with cloud for this reason. I have several family friends that work at my gp practice and i don’t want them knowing my business.

I work in a GP practice. We receive at least 10 of these notifications per day. They are filed by the pharmacy clerks who add a note to the patients medication list. The actual GP does not even look at this but would obviously see it if they were prescribing a new medication.

. Sorry, didn’t realise this was old!

I wouldn’t use a provider who didn’t inform my GP, that would be pretty irresponsible of them and make me worry about what else they weren’t doing properly.

Besides, I want it on my medical history just like any other drug I take so that the GP has all necessary information needed to diagnose me, and to check for contraindications when prescribing any medication.

Also if I get taken ill with some terrible side effect I want the hospital to know what I’m on!

I can’t understand why you would be opposed to this. Is there some reason your GP might object to the prescription so you’re trying to hide it from them? Are you lying about your weight? Do you have a history of anorexia?

Chequp ask if they can notify your GP but you don’t have

Voy also.

I get from Pharmulous. I ticked that they can notify my GP but I don’t think they have. It’s not on my record on the nhs app whereas my husband’s is (he got his from Morrisons).
