SheMed weight loss injections.

Posting here for traffic. Sorry it's a bit of a long one. Has anyone used SheMed for weight loss injections? I applied to them about 5 weeks ago and was approved for Mounjaro (I have 3 and a half stone to lose). After a lot of messing about with having to provide a blood sample for a blood test, which in the end I couldn't do after 2 unsuccessful attempts, they said they could proceed without the blood test. Not really sure why they needed to do a blood test anyway,I've used 3 different injection providers previously who have never requested this.
Anyway,I received my prescription on 15th May,did my first injection the same day. Did the second one a week later on 23rd May and my third one today (29th). Then this afternoon I get an email from SheMed saying am I ready to do my first injection?! I was like WTAF?! Why would I have waited 2 weeks after receiving the medication before starting? I logged into the SheMed app and it's saying that I have to do the injection on a video call with one of their team members! It did not say anywhere on the app previously that I would have to do this, and nothing in any of the emails I've received from them.
I'm at a loss as to what to do now. If they think I'm only just starting the injections, there's going to be a 2 week delay before I get my next prescription sent to me. I'm starting to wish I'd never gone with this company. Anyone else had a negative experience with them?

Report your post and ask for this to be moved to WLI board.

Sounds insane to me!!

No. I would switch to another one. That sounds crazy and very unprofessional.

I use MedExpress and they asked for photos, tell you GP and that’s it.

@JohnTheRevelator there are a couple of threads in the WLI section for people signed up with Shemed. It’s not just an online provider, they offer a much more hand holding approach where they expect you to check in with them each week via video call. That’s in their terms and conditions. If it’s not what you want then cancel with them and sign up with a more straightforward provider.

If you want to continue with them, then I’d try contacting them tomorrow via a phone call and speak to someone about what is clearly a misunderstanding of what you and they expected.

Silence inside - Yes,I think I'll have to phone them tomorrow. When I've emailed them about any queries previously they never really answer the question, just waffle on about irrelevant things.

SheMed is cheaper but you’re signing up to take part in a drugs trial so they have some strict rules.

SilenceInside · 29/05/2025 19:20

@Olderbeforemytimethe clinical trial is a specific programme that they call the Adherence programme, and they stopped signing people up to it a while ago. Their general terms and conditions for all their programmes includes a weekly check in, a blood test at the start. It’s aimed at people who want that level of support throughout.

I didn't realise that this was the case! They don't make it very obvious.

If I'd known this beforehand I would never have signed up with them! I've used 3 different providers previously and I've never had any issues like this. I stupidly assumed that these would be the same. 😒
