Camping - what food to take

Hi, we're off on a family camping trip for 2 nights next week. Going with a few families but will all sort our own food I think. Not sure what to take at all, partly because we haven't really been camping with the kids and they can be fussy but mainly because all I can think of isn't particularly MJ-friendly...anyone have any suggestions please?

What do you mean by Mj friendly? I suppose if you're aiming for higher protein then barbecue food is good as you can avoid the bread?

Packs of ready-made quinoa or other grains instead of bread.

Eggs are good for camping, don’t need to be in a fridge.

Depends on how you'll be cooking it, generally you won't have an oven, also are they planning on eating out at some point?
I went last week, not on injections but veggie so had
Mushroom, scrambled egg and croissant for breakfast
Roasted veg Cous cous green beans and tofu
Cheese tortellini with peas and a bit of extra cheese on top.
Easy to cook on one stove but with a family you'll need at least two for ease and/or a BBQ for meat.

If it's just a normal holiday just eat what everyone else is eating but less. You can always buy ready made up protein drinks from the supermarket, do burgers or whatever. I just stop eating when Ive had enough. I can tell straight away without having to calorie count after all this time.
Any attempts at overeating bring untold misery 😁Don't ask me how I know.
You are going for two nights. Not a month long safari.

Good quality hotdogs

Not camping but we went on a hike last weekend, we took, hard boiled eggs, Iceland chicken skewers that can either be deformed and eaten cold or reheated. Fruit and fibre bars for snacks.

Camping id do a chilli / bolognaise with small amount of rice or pasta.

BBQ will chicken, steak etc and miss out on the bread.

Seasoned chicken breast with savoury flavoured rice.

This, don’t overthink it OP. A couple of days isn’t going to ruin everything. This is about lifestyle change which needs balance and flexibility.

You’ll already know what foods don’t work for you or cause side effects.

I’d have the BBQ food etc and just fill up on more protein and salad than carbs for example.

If you go to the pub for lunch, just check the calories and keep an eye on intake. Mostly because you won’t want to feel unwell.
