Very slow weight loss, is MJ for me?

Sorry if somebody has said something similar.

I've been on MJ since March this year. I have recently upped my dose to 5mg. I've had one injection.
Very little side effects after going up(yippeee) but I'm STARVING. All I think about is food, I'm not sure if this is because I'm making an effort to not eat as much

After going up to 5mg, I did expect a big woosh of weight to come off. I'm on my 11th week with a weight loss of 12kg.
Which I'm ecstatic about, I'm genuinely so happy. I wouldn't of managed this on sheer will power.

My TDEE calories are over 2,000. I don't eat anywhere near that. I'm drinking 3l a day, I'm doing around 20k steps a day (walk to work, walk dog, light jog)
But it's just not dropping off me. I still look really big. Any more tips please?

1kg a week is perfect, I'd suggest staying away from the monthly boards if you are finding it hard. Its tempting to want to lose weight super fast and some people do but it isn't healthy losing 0.5-1kg a week gives your skin chance to keep up and should help prevent too much hair loss.

If it helps I am 1lb away from losing 5st which has taken me 33 weeks and I think I still look the same. I take comparison photos every stone and that is the only way I can see any difference. It doesn't help that I have only recently dropped a dress size but can still wear my old clothes they aren't falling off yet.
Do photos and measurements at the start of every pen and the difference will be remarkable.

The monthly board I post on isn’t competitive at all. We’re a very supportive bunch and there’s no such thing as commiserations if for eg someone loses a pound a week and neither do we break into the cancan when someone loses 2 pound a week.

Why stay away from Monthly boards?

I previously posted to OP to join us in March group. We are a friendly supportive bunch and OP is in fact on the higher end of loss within our group .

people who loose more than 1st a month are most likely paid influencers / aka paid marketers and there is a lot of them on social media ( the videos of people losing 3 st first month giving themselves a jab but actually not jabbin just makes me laugh as they clearly been targeted after loosing a lot with surgery:naturally , or people who posts videos on their journey and a few weeks in yeah I have been sponsored by xxx let
me know if you need a code) but also a few on these forums (spotted by people mentioning above average weightloss and sharing codes in same posts)

people on these forums are looking for support and support for others , or at least I am .

Personally at the beginning I found monthly boards really helpful but I would not have been disappointed at losing 1-2lb a week. I think if you are already feeling that you are behind others then joining a monthly board where some people are losing a lot more a lot faster than you are may be unhelpful as the OP is persumably more likely to focus on those who are losing faster rather than those who are losing at a similar rate.

It depends how supportive the board is and whether the constant comparison to others is helpful or not to the OP.

OP it is not helpful to compare your journey to others- nor is it helpful to call 12kg in 11 weeks "very slow weight loss" to anyone comparing to you. Objectively, by any margin, you must realise that is a lot of weight to lose in that time.

The issue isn't the amount you've lost or the speed you've lost it, the issue is in your head. Stay off the boards if you can't stop comparing yourself.

Since making this post, I have lost another one kg
I think when the scales don't move, it's very difficult to get in a good mindset when I know I'm doing everything right.

I think I'll pop in to the March board because I'm finding it quite a lonely journey.

That’s a very good weight loss. I’ve been on it for a year with a higher starting weight, same height but average only 0.75lb a week but that’s more than I’d manage without it so I’m sticking with it (or will be when I’m allowed to again)
