Hi, I’ve been on M since August and am now starting maintenance, never went above 5 and have lost 3.5 stone. I’ve ran for years on and off 5/10ks and always loved the rush of endorphins that came post run. Have suddenly realised this isn’t happening anymore and wonder if it’s the drug. Any other runners out there having a similar experience?

Hmmm... That's an interesting question! I've also been a runner for years - similar kinds of distances to you (nothing hardcore!). I ran 7.8km this morning and am trying to think whether I got the usual "runner's high"... Not sure I did. However, running definitely still helps me manage my anxiety and just generally help me feel better in myself... So perhaps the feel good factor is still there, but the "high" is just a bit more muted? I'll give this some more thought as I do my runs through the week! 🤔

Not a runner, but I get the endorphin rush after a strength training session just the same as ever and I've been on MJ since July, also no higher than 5mg.

Thanks for your answers, it was a little post run ponder, maybe I need to push myself a bit more.

Yes, it's likely related. GLP-1s work on the pleasure pathways in your brain which is why you are less likely to desire certain foods. People have reported effects on their mood, libido etc.
