Increased resting heart rate

Anyone else?
I’m month 4 and heart rate in 70s rather than 60s. It’s increased with doses (current 12.5mg). I have a blood test next week so I’ll mention at GPs. Feel quite well otherwise.

Yes, it's listed in the patient information leaflet as a known side effect. My RHR increased slightly in the first six months or so but now is much lower overall, probably because I am much fitter.

I had this in the first couple of weeks. About 10 above what it normally is. I noticed it at night in particular. It settled back down after that, then I noticed it again for a short while when I first went up a dose to 5.

I'm menopausal and palpitations were one of my symptoms of that for a while so I just assumed I have a tendency for it, and that's why a new drug set it off until my body adjusted.

Mine has increased by about 15bpm. Not great, as I already had a high resting heart rate (just about within the range the NHS suggest, but right at the top end).

I keep meaning to book a GP appointment, but they're such a faff to get I haven't actually done it yet.

I think hunger can be a common cause of increased heart rate. The body is being restricted more than normal, even if we don't feel hungry due to the medication, so is probably a stress response to the reduced calorie intake.

Mine jumped to about ten BPM over my normal RHR - 48 to 58 (I’m pretty fit but also pretty fat!). It was a pain because it made my sleep quality worse. It settled down eventually but has just crept up again now I’ve upped to 7.5mg 😬
