Really needing to get my butt in gear, lucky enough to be able to self fund this, have had very slow loss so far which seems to have come to a halt

I just can't seem to get into calorie counting and whilst I got an amazing initial suppression when I first started, the feeling now on 7.5 isn't as strong and I'm still over eating

Has anyone any advice words of wisdom? I'm after a basic checklist of things to follow and some strong words of encouragement I think

Have 4 stones to lose (nearly 1 stone down but jas taken since Christmas, only moved up due to side effects

Peri menopause pcos and insulin resistance in play

Op, if you down load the nutracheck app, it’s very easy to calorie count. Also an eye opener to just how easy it is to over eat. And maybe try and increase your daily steps too. It’s helped me lost 18lb since starting in March, good luck.

I agree with using nutracheck and have kitchen scales on your worktop to weigh every morsel you eat.
I speak from personal experience of how easy it is to underestimate the calories you consume.
Once I started using nutracheck ( and their very handy barcode scanner makes life easier) and weighing everything I began to lose weight every week as long as I stuck to my calorie allowance.
You may also need to go up to 10mg dose. Many people need up to the full 15mg to get good suppression

Unfortunately Mounjaro isn't the magic jab they talk about in the media, it only helps to keep on track.

You need to -

Eat enough protein as it keeps you feeling fuller for much longer. Try to get some with every meal.
Drink enough water so you are not mistaking thirst for hunger.
Eat foods you need to chew well and take time to eat.
Fill plate/bowls with big but low calorie foods, veggies, soups.
Reduce carbs/sugar/sweeteners as much as possible. The sugar spike then causes a dip which can trigger hunger. Some studies believe sweeteners cause the same effect as sugar.
Try smaller plates if you haven't already
Calculate your TDEE and cutting calories and track calorie deficit over the week, if you don't measure it you can't manage it. There are lots of apps you can use to make this easy.
Move more, especially a nice walk after eating if you can.

Not everyone gets suppression, I only really got it in the first few weeks, after that it would be an occasional day here and there. For me, what helps is the obsessive food noise is gone, and if I eat slowly and mindfully I feel myself lose interest in a larger meal. I absolutely could clear the plate as I don't feel full, but I pay attention to no longer being interested in it and stop.

While Mounjaro won't work for most on its own, it absolutely can work with you.
