Finding the right provide

Title should say provider.

I've been on MJ for a few months. I am not happy with my current provider. I know about monj.co.uk and am looking at options. These are the things that are most important to me.

  1. Ethics of the provider. I won't use someone who does referral codes. I really do not want to use someone who uses social media influensors.
  2. Supports maintenance, I'd rather not jump around from provider to provider if I can avoid it.

3..Price, I'd like to keep it affordable. It's a bonus if there are no discount codes. I'd rather just pay a fair price.

I'm considering
Medicine market place
Swift doctor
Livewelll (some recent positive reviews on reddit about them).

Anyone with any of these providers who can give their experience. Happy to look at other options if they meet the above criteria.

Not necessarily the cheapest but Pharmulous have been great for me and fill your requirements.

Yes, actually I think I would consider them as well.

I have just place my first ever
order through med express and im now thinking this was the wrong thing to do. I heard Oushk were good and was thinking about moving to them. Can you just go from supplier to another?

Very easy to swap, but if you want more than the starting dose or BMI is no longer eligible you need to be able to show your prescribing history (photo of pen box with your pharmacy label or copies of emails/website to show pens have been supplied)

Oushk use influencers, personally I don't know what the ethics issue is with that, it is just a modern form of marketing 🤷‍♀️

Yes, you can move suppliers, you just need to complete their consultation and show evidence of your previous prescription (the box will usually suffice).

Yeah, I know Oushk do, which I personally do not like. It's not in the same league as referral codes at all, but I don't like it. And of course we all need to make choices that are right for us.

Edit: should add why I don't like the use of Social media influncers. My view is that prescription medication isn't supposed to be advertised in the UK, the use of affiliates and influensors is a way to low key market the medication and skirt the rules.

I use medicine marketplace, I didn't want to use discount codes either and didn't want to faff around changing providers so went with the one that was cheapest overall (some doses are slightly more expensive but not excessively and the first dose and higher doses are cheaper). They have been fine although did take longer than expected for the process to get my first prescription.

VicksJunkie · 27/04/2025 14:32

Has anyone used Juniper? They popped up on my Google search earlier. Would be interested to hear any tales.

They are generally viewed favourably on Reddit. My slight hesitation is that they are the lowest cost for higher dossages, they are likely going to get more and more clients, will that mean they have supply issues? Who knows, I probably have to accept that moving around does need to happen when supply issues arise.

Influencers (I don't use instagram or tiktok which I believe is where these people live!), are free to talk about any POM they take. The same as any person - celeb, even a Dr, or a random - can go on TV, radio, podcast, or even write a book and talk about their personal or otherwise experience of Ozempic/Wegovy/Mounjaro by name and make money from it. All of that "advertises" the brands of weight loss medication and I cannot differentiate ethically for myself (regardless of the law) why one is ok but another is not. But I guess there are people whose job is to deal with what crosses the line of the law, so I don't need to worry about it.

I respect everyone has to draw their own lines.

Burnserns · 27/04/2025 14:44

@VicksJunkie they are a subscription service and one of the more expensive providers. Have you looks at monj.co.uk for the full list of providers and costs?

@Mounjarogirl25 Thank you for that recommendation. I have had a look at medicine marketplace, they are really good value. I wasn’t going to switch but think I will now. Do they do maintenance? I’m a long way away from needing it but would be good not to have to keep moving

Burnserns · 27/04/2025 14:53

Yes, I agreed people are free to talk about any medication they like and mention where they get the meds (that's up to them), what crosses the line for me is when Pharmacies issue the influencers with unique referral codes that they give out to followers (presumable in return for credit/payment from these pharmacies).

Sorry meant to tag weallhavewings but can't seem to.

I did read that they do but I'm still a long way off so haven't looked into it properly yet.

Anyone having issues with no supply of 12.5mg. I'm with pharmacy 2u & no supplies until mid May?

Tiree1965 · 27/04/2025 15:54

I’ve been using Medicine Marketplace for about 4 months now and have found their turnaround and delivery super speedy.

VicksJunkie · 27/04/2025 16:20

@BurnsernsI haven’t, thank you for the suggestion! This is all very new to me but I’m determined to start next month.

I have no problem with them being paid. Influencing is a service and they should be paid for providing that service.

I guess (again I don't know much about this), the most successful ones work significant hours and put effort into their channels to stay popular/relevant, they don't get paid a fixed salary they need to earn it commission based and their "jobs" are very insecure as for most their 5 minutes of "fame" and popularity can disappear in a heartbeat.

It's all a very personal decision isn't it? No one provider will suit everyone. This is an issue for me, but it won't be for many people. Ultimately we all have to choose who we are most comfortable with.

I’m just trying to understand timelines at the moment. Ordered my first batch yesterday from MedExpress. Checked my account today and it’s still waiting for clinical approval. I’ve emailed them and they have sent the standard response of there being high volume/ demand. Can I cancel my order as my payment is pending and go somewhere else? ( I’m know I’m being impatient).

SilenceInside · 28/04/2025 13:43

@lissie123 Most places will take a day (or longer) to do a clinical review, and then the order will need to be processed and delivered. It can take longer on a first order, as there's more to check. I assume you've uploaded all the photos etc that they've requested?

lissie123 · 28/04/2025 13:47

@SilenceInside yes they have received all my ID and photos. Just had an email from them to say it will take up to four days for clinical approval.

SilenceInside · 28/04/2025 13:52

MedExpress are popular, there are loads of threads about them on here, but service seems patchy. Some people seem to get their orders promptly and others it seems to take far longer than it should.

Caddycat · 28/04/2025 14:05

I read this with interest as I was getting ready to order, had picked a provider who's now dissapeared from the Monj website, no idea why!

Does anyone know which providers require a video call? I don't mind speaking to someone and sending photos, I just hate the idea of a video call.
