Anyone been cut off for too low BMI?

Hello

i I have ordered my latest pen from MedExpress and have sent photos as requested.

all has gone quiet - I am worried my BMI is now too low.

I have hit my goal weight - 9st. For my height this is a BMI of 23.

I have read online that MedExpress will stop prescribing below 23.5.

any experiences?

thanks

Just to say Cloud Pharmacy offer maintenance. As others have said check out Monj.co.uk and also search Maintenance on here as there is a thread where a poster is collating Pharmacies who have specific maintenance policies

MJqueen · 18/04/2025 14:40

The Care Pharmacy do maintenance to BMI 19.5, and take on new patients as long as you can evidence previous prescriptions.

Just to update you, I have been approved with Oushk. It was really easy and quick and they haven’t requested a phone consultation.

Numan wanted me to have my weight verified by a GP or pharmacy, which as although wouldn’t be an issue, I was honest with my information, felt like a lot of faffing about so I have cancelled with them.

Asda got back to me with a hard no. Their loss, plus Oushk is significantly cheaper so I guess they have done me a favour.

Bellyblueboy · 22/04/2025 09:08

That’s great news @Eminybob.

I got an email from MedExpress this morning to say my next pen has been dispatched.

this was way to stressful, so I have decided to start now finding a new provider.

How much are you paying with Oushk please and do they offer discounts? I’m looking to swap because I’m very close to a healthy BMI myself.

I paid £159 including delivery for 10mg. This included a 10% discount code which I got from the code board on here.

I believe if you sign up to a maintenance plan it is cheaper, but you need to book an appointment which I haven’t done yet, as there are none available until July currently.

I was paying over £200 with Asda

Great news!

I think it’s worth switching as soon as you can TBH. I was really worried after Asda cut me off that I wouldn’t be able to find someone to take me on and I would be left stranded.

But surely now when you're at your goal weight you have learnt to eat healthy and what portion sizes are "normal"?. Or are you planning to take this for life?

Do you have any understanding of this issue? Any experience of obesity and the use of this drug? Or have you just come onto this thread to make useless and judgmental comment

edited to say why did i rise to the bait😂. There will always be nasty comments about weight loss medication. Usually from people like this who enjoy the feeling of superiority and like to put others down. If slim is now achievable by more people they lose their feeling of superiority!

i wish you well.

Oushk have regular discount codes but don't do referral codes or price matches. The prices are fairly competitive.

There's a welcome code for your first offer then after that they are normally £15-£20. Once you sign up to a maintenance plan you get a different discount code and free delivery.

  1. obesity is not caused by a lack of knowledge about healthy eating and portion sizes, and is not cured by more education
  2. losing weight does not mean the body is no longer impacted by obesity
  3. yes, many people will be on this medication long term, even for life, to maintain a healthy weight.

Useless and judgemental comment, how is that? I was seriously asking if you planned to take this medication for life. I know that obesity is due to overeating and that we all have different levels of difficulty to not overeat. I have a friend who used it to lose weight and now she's no longer on it she has to use willpower to not overeat rather than relying on appetite suppressants. But it's much easier for her to do this now when she has got used to eating less and healthier.

It seems like the jabs make people highly susceptible and interpreting all comments as attacks🤷‍♀️

This Thread is for a specific discussion.

i think if you have genuine curiosity about obesity, weight loss medication and how people intend yo use them you should start another thread.

i wish you all the best but you aren’t adding anything to this thread.

And you did, in my opinion, make offensive comments about me learning about portion sizes and how to eat healthily.

I think you knew exactly what you were saying and wanted to stick the boot in. After all, you couldn’t possibly be asking to be edicated by someone who hasn’t the intellectual capacity to understand portion sizes, healthy eating and nutrition. You clearly think I have below average intelligence😂

but have a lovely Easter. I hope you can find the information you are looking for. There is lots of information online if you want to do some research.

Thanks for that information. I’m currently being ridiculous and letting myself get fleeced by Boots so anything has to be cheaper!

Same as me with Boots, all because I thought collection would be easier. I suppose I have gained a lot back in points but it’s time for a change now.

An update - I decided to make the move from Numan to Cloud and was knocked back and my order cancelled. When I demanded a reason I was told that I couldn’t be monitored remotely. Onwards I go. I’m thinking of checking out Pharmulous as others have suggested.
