I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's results or journeys so far. Where you are with the injections, your weight vital stats, lifestyle and NSVs? I'd love to see results from people of a similar age, height or starting weight.

Something like this completely made up example:

Week 5, Day 5, 5mg
52 years old, 5ft 5.
Side Effects: Headaches, constipation but suffer with those anyway.
SW 16st CW 15st 2lb GW 13st
Lifestyle: No calorie-counting, do 16:8 and aim for 80g protein. One spin class a week.
NSV: Dress size was 20 now 18.

May I ask where do you buy your injections from?

I hop between suppliers to take advantage of discount codes and offers.

Mainly use Zava as I have a few stored codes, but have used IQ and Oushk and both have been fine. I will probably switch to Oushk for maintenance.

Bump. If we get a few more I will try graphing expected losses given starting weight.

Week 7 day 5, 2.9mg (not a typo)
49, 5'4
SW 96.55kg
CW 87.10kg
Lifestyle: Tracking food. Sticking to around 1500 calories, although I might increase this slightly as losing weight a little faster than I would like.

Activity levels: Around 20 hours a week exercise (BST figures, less on GMT. This is only slightly increased from previous levels e.g. an extra swim and gym class or 2 a week)

3 hours of swimming over week. Around 15 hour's brisk walking a week when at home (but I hike on travel trips, which is about 2 months over the year - average 12 miles a day, this will likely include hills/mountains/Munros)
Gym classes - 2 hours a week

Side effects - None really. I was cold the first couple of doses.

Other effects - I feel like my hormones are better managed/regulated. HRT helped with some peri symptoms, but adding MJ has made me feel like I was 5-10 years ago. The brain fog/poor concentration has completely gone. My IBS/food intolerances seem to be vastly improved and I have been eating a bagel every day when camping recently with no ill effects. My bowels are completely normal and regular like clockwork now. Before it was typical IBS problems.

I seem to be waking early, around 6-6:30am, but refreshed and keen to get up and do stuff. I am ready for bed earlier, but in a satisfied and ready for my cosy bed kind of way.

Attitude to MJ - keep the dose low, don't lose weight too fast, eat my calories, eat regular meals, eat unprocessed foods/cook everything from scratch as far as possible. Instil good habits that are ingrained by the time I come off MJ

.

Here’s my latest progress!
Starting size - 16/18
Now size: 10
starting weight: 15st 13
now weight: 9st 13
goal weight: 9st 8
dose - 12.5mg

Mounraine · 18/05/2025 21:25

Week 7 Day 3. 2.5mg. (I took a break in the first few weeks though).

46 years old, 5ft 7.

Side Effects: Were horrendous in week one and I had to pause. Currently a bit of fatigue, nausea and heartburn when I drink Pepsi Max 🙄

SW 13st 2 CW 12st 7 GW 11st

Lifestyle: 16:8. weight-lifting and avg daily steps have fallen to 8k due to other health problems. Try to reduce UPFs and eat plenty of plants and whole food proteins.

NSV: Clothing feeling loose. Gave away a couple of items that I’d bought in the next size up in order to be comfy over winter.

10 months on MJ, been on 10mg for most of it.
54, 5’9”
SW: 17st 3
CW: 12st 1
GW: not sure, maybe 11st or a bit under.

Side effects: none bar the odd day of eggy burps, maybe five days of that in total. I felt weird taking more than 10mg so came back down again. Eczema got worse but not sure if that is related to MJ - I gave up dairy and that helped.

Lifestyle: don’t need to count calories any more really - I eat around 1000-1200 per day in two meals. High protein, lowish carb, no wheat, rice or crap, plenty of water. Exercise - aim for 3x runs, 2x swims, 1x yoga, 3x strength training per week. Around 200 squats and calf raises per week. Plus I try to get a quick walk in every day after lunch.

NSVs: was size 18-20, now size 12, reflux gone, sleeping better, skin better, knee pain gone, lower back pain gone, thinking more clearly, more energy / less tired, wardrobe is transformed and I’m enjoying clothes for the first time in my life, new haircut, more confident, more on top of life generally, can get out of the bath without going via all fours, can lift my suitcase onto the overhead rack on the train, stronger and fitter than ever and more up for doing things.

InfoSecInTheCity · 19/05/2025 06:22

I'm so glad you mentioned eczema getting worse - I've noticed this too!

SW: 19st 7lbs
CW: 17st 12lbs

Side effects: nausea, tiredness, headaches, eczema, very dry mouth, excessive burping.

I can now walk further without wanting to die, I fit into a pair of shorts I couldn't take on holiday in October, my jeans are looser, feel far more positive and confident. Mental health has improved.

gimmemounjaro · 19/05/2025 07:48

@Daschy16 Weird isn’t it? I asked about it on a thread but nobody had similar so good to know I’m not alone! I have never noticed dairy as a trigger before but maybe it’s because MJ slows everything down, I dunno 🤷‍♀️
Mine was really bad for a bit but has calmed down now I’m off the dairy.

Rtato · 19/05/2025 08:10

Hi all, some amazing weight loss here! My journey has been very slow. I’ve been on it for just over a year and on the maximum dose. My weight loss is just under a kilo a month so it’s a very expensive way to lose weight for me!

SW 84kg
CW 74kg
GW 55kg
Week 60, BMI has gone down from 32 to 28
Side effects: tiredness on injection day and day after (as in require an afternoon nap!). Craving a lot of bland carbs and sweet foods, which I didn’t used to eat. I’m not exercising much as feel a bit lethargic. I know I need to try and eat more vegetables, but I’ve completely gone off them, also need to cut down on the wine!!

I think that’s why you aren’t losing weight. Wine and poor diet.. it is not a magic bullet!
