Why are Juniper lying?

There is more than enough left for a 4th dose. I measure it out with a syringe and then there’s often some left over after that too.

I know why they’re lying - to make more money. But it’s not correct.

They are maximising their profit by discouraging people to make a pen last 5 weeks by taking the extra dose. Obviously they make less money if people order every 5 weeks instead of every 4. You have a think about it.

Why would they ever advise against the manufacturer? The pen is designed to give 4 doses only. They aren’t going to turn around and say yeah, actually there might be enough for another shot if you go buy some cheap needles online and extract it from the end, are they? They would be sued by Lilly if they did and probably breaking pharmaceutical laws too. This thread is honestly ridiculous.

Of course they shouldn't say that. But they could say 'we strongly advise against attempting to self administer the excess medication due to safety and dosing risks' rather than lie and say it won't be enough for a full dose when that's not true

wizzywig · 28/03/2025 14:37

Don't the pens get posted out every 4 weeks?

Tipofthecattoes · 28/03/2025 14:38

How are they maximising their profit? You take the extra dose - have a think…

er, by telling people there’s not enough for another dose when there is. I’ve reread your post and don’t know what you’re getting at here

Write them an email telling them of their inaccuracy if you like. What is the point of discussing it here, when we all know what the case is? Or if you don't, it's easy to find out from the very many mentions on all the threads here about this.

What's the point of discussing anything ever if you want to get all existential about it.

I posted because I’d like to share the fact I think this is very disingenuous and alert others that it’s untrue.

OP posts:
SilenceInside · 28/03/2025 14:42

It doesn’t matter that it’s disingenuous or untrue because they cannot suggest any other course of action. Discard the pen after 4 doses, don’t worry about the left over liquid. That’s all they can ever say about it.

I’m not sure if you’ve read the thread clearly. I’ve not suggested they would or should ever state anything of the sort. I have suggested they shouldn’t send a SPECIFIC email communication just to state this untruth. They could say nothing at all and not have sent the bloody email

But they have specifically emailed just to say this. This is all the email is about. It’s untrue.

Yes this and also re risks upthread - you are effectively taking a double dose every 4 weeks which you don’t know how your body will react to. There is also the question of expiration of the medicine.

its not a double dose. It’s a 5th dose from the same pen.

Tipofthecattoes · 28/03/2025 14:46

This is the full email. It’s not a question I’ve asked. Or even in their FAQ’s.

Yes, it’s inaccurate. But irrelevant. Reminding patients how to use the medication according to the manufacturer’s instructions is something that a pharmacy should be doing, this is entirely to be expected and a reasonable thing for them to do.

SilenceInside · 28/03/2025 14:47

My bet on this is that they are doing this for compliance reasons in preparation for their next inspection, given all the recent publicity around misuse and fraudulent acquiring of these medications.

Yeah I’ve read it, thanks. I’m still baffled why you’re getting so bent out of shape about it though.

MJconfessions · 28/03/2025 14:55

People like OP are the absolute worst of the online MJ communities. Extremely rude and aggressive in pursuit of using medication outside of the manufacturer’s guidelines. It’s absolutely pathetic.

‘Extremely rude and aggressive’ I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else, I’ve not been at all aggressive at any point.

I didn’t realise you were the MJ class prefect!

OP posts:
Tipofthecattoes · 28/03/2025 17:55

In fact @MJconfessions a quick look through your posting history shows you calling people ‘pathetic’, ‘unstable’, ‘creepy’, ‘stupid’ and on and on. It’s not nice to call people names on the internet even if you disagree with them. I see you’re young so try and take this on board.

OP posts:
Burnserns · 28/03/2025 18:04

It is not enough liquid to administer another dose from that pen in the traditional way. The plunger will not work for another dossage. I wouldn't see this as a lie. They are correct that the pen will not administer another dose with the level of liquid remaining. As others have said they can't advise people to extract a dossage with a syringe.
