In my case, I carry most of my extra weight around the stomach. For some weird reason, my arms have always been skinny. When I started to lose weight again this time round, the first place where I noticed the weight loss was the bust: I was quite happy about that, since I'd developed heavy, matronly boobs.
I wouldn't call them perky now, but they certainly don't sag as much. I'm told that you can't spot reduce fat, but the places where I notice the reduced size are the places that I've specifically managed to exercise. (I have knee issues, so certain exercises are forbidden. However, it's impossible to avoid bending my knees completely - in spite of what my consultant said - since I need to keep working on my thigh muscles.
I've been dong a lot of band resistance and free weight exercises for the chest and upper arms plus the lat pull and low row in the gym. It's noticeable to me that my biceps are coming back and I've lost fat on my back and some down the sides.
I do 5 minute bursts on a SPARC machine (set flat, not at an incline because of the knees) and I can see the difference in my outer thighs and glutes.
I'm still rather large, however. If I could afford it, I'd consider liposuction and a tummy tuck. My size 20 jeans are loose on me everywhere except the stomach. (Currently a smidgen off 5ft 9 and 15st 1lb.). I'm trying to figure out standing and seated stomach exercises since getting down on the floor at the gym is a problem for me - my knee condition means that my patella are prone to dislocating.
