Hi all
Took my 9th jab on Tues and I've noticed this red mark, has anyone else had this? Not sure if I should be concerned?
Will visit pharmacy for some help on Monday if its still there but just need some opinions first if I'm being an idiot. Thank you!

Can't see much on photo but some people do get redness at the jab site. One company suggested using longer needles to inject a bit deeper below the skin but not sure if it helped.
Only other thought is, if you are swabbing your skin with alcohol swab, stop. That causes more skin reactions than MJ and is not needed for subcutaneous injections

It will go away on its own. Just leave it alone

This happens to me. If it stays like that it’s fine IME. If it gets worse seek help obvs

Some people start getting an injection site reaction when they change dose, or change needle brand/length or just randomly. Sometimes the reaction can last 2-3 weeks. If it is localised to the injection site only it is annoying but nothing to worry about.

Antihistamines, or hydrocortisone creams can sometimes help with any itching (neither helped mine).

Some people find using a slightly longer needle (6mm instead of 4mm) helps by taking the medication further away from sensitive skin layer.

For me it started when I changed suppler and they sent a different needle brand/ shorter length, I tried a longer needle from them and it helped a little - still red but for not as long and not as itchy. Changing back to the original needle brand/length stopped it.

I had it for 3 months solid, red raised wide and very hot and itchy, tried anti histamines but they didnt do anything. The issue was injecting immediately from fridge, I let it warm up to room temperature for 1hr prior to injecting, 2 months on no more reactions at all!

It's pretty common and nothing to worry about.
