Burping and bloating any cures?

DH started MJ last weekend and is suffering with really bad wind bloating and burping, I’m a month in and had zero side effects so don’t know what to suggest.
We have tried Gaviscon and herbal tea but no help. Anyone make any recommendations for things that have worked for them?
many thanks

Extra strong mints are good, and I also take an L casei too (like Yakult).

Hi, I'm on week2 and have the burps. I found that an actimel yogurt drinks & peppermint tea worked for me.

I was a lot worse at the beginning, MJ can give you digestive issues like indigestion etc.

I find higher fat stuff makes things worse, heavy food eaten too late makes things worse. I took rennies etc and that helped. Is he drinking enough - 3 litres a day. He cant eat what he ate before, or as late or in the same order as before.

“Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper.” - Having a good breakfast, decent lunch and small dinner really worked best for me.

I'm 8 months in now and even the dreaded constipation is gone

What is he eating/drinking?

Take a probiotic.

Keep a food diary to identify trigger foods, eg cruciferous vegetables.

Oh my, yes to cruciferous veg being unkind. Broccoli and cauliflower is off the menu for now for me.

We are both eating and drinking the same, healthy diet not to much fat protein and veggies some berry fruits live yoghurt minimum of 2ltrs on top of tea coffee and herbal teas. I’m not suffering at all and he really is. I guess it shows how MJ affects everyone differently.
so been and got some probiotics and some peppermint tea, currently he has the licourice and peppermint but obviously that’s limited to a couple of mugs a day. The digestif one from twinnings is nice too.

We are intermittent fasting so only 2 meals a day, he has a healthy diet and lifestyle normally ( but a little portion control issues) as is a T2 diabetic in remission, So the foods are not a problem really

Portion control. Cut back a bit and see what happens

plus. If you’re only in early stages, the drug hasn’t started working properly yet, as you get used to it, suppression will kick in and portions will come down.

food is more than likely the problem
