How to switch providers

So I finally took the plunge and started my first week of Mounjaro. So far so good and, being a typical worrier I am already planning for maintenance. I went with IQ doctor, had to send them photos and ID for the initial order. But they didn't send me any email/letter to confirm the prescription, they just sent me the pen in the mail.

So for my next order, if I want to change to a different provider (not sure yet, but maybe a better price somewhere) do I start over ? Or can I somehow prove another pharmacy already did the checks?
Also, what happens when I am under bmi 30 but I still, obviously, have weight to lose? Would I be able to switch then?

You'll presumably have an online account with IQ Doctor where they have confirmed the order and given you details of the prescription and advice on how to use etc?

Regardless, when you change supplier, each company has to do its own checks and consultation before prescribing. They can't take information from another company. So, you fill out the new company's consultation form, you state you're already taking a WLI and say what dose. They'll ask for the usual photos/id whatever they need from any new customer and then you'll also need proof of your previous prescription. That can be a photo of your mediation box with the named prescription label showing for example. Then they will review, approve and prescribe.

Oh, also, you can switch if your BMI is under 30 - again you need proof of previous prescriptions. Some pharmacies won't take people on at certain BMIs depending on their policies. But there are several who have published specific maintenance plans for people at their target BMI. There's a thread somewhere in this section that lists ones that do.

Have you checked your junk mail? I’ve ordered with IQ numerous times and always get a “your order is complete” email which also has the tracking link on it.

Thank you @SilenceInside , i only have the order confirmation from iq doctor,no prescription or additional details. I'll look for the maintenance thread as i am not sure i want the extra stress to hop between providers. Just being optimisting and assuming I will reach a good BMI soon!

Yes, i have that email but thats it. It doesn't specifically say I have a prescription.

The prescription is basically what is printed on the box the pen comes in. When I have changed providers I have just taken a photo of the label on the box with my name on it. That’s always been acceptable and I have changed suppliers twice. Even if you don’t intend to swap providers, it is worth keeping the boxes just in case.

On the same email it has links with all the additional details on how to use etc.

I get my repeat NHS prescription medication sent to me from an online pharmacy, it's basically exactly the same as getting my Mounjaro prescription although it's a different pharmacy. I don't have anything on paper sent to me that says I have a prescription, other than the printed label on the medication. I also have it all online in my account, showing what the medication is, what dose and how often it needs to be ordered. And emails to say that I've ordered it and that it's on its way.

If you have given IQ Doctor your GP details, they may also send a letter to your GP with details of the medication. The pharmacy I use does this, and then it gets added to my GP records which I can access via the NHS app. So that's another record of each prescription for each pen.
