Weight loss injection cancer risks

Hi
I have been doing some research and hoping someone can do help point in the right direction. I have massively overweight and have bad health anxiety. I really want to start on the injections but am worried about thyroid cancer. Does anyone have any links to medical research rather than just online articles?

I know being overweight probably holds more cancer risk but want to see that in writing to ease my mind.

Thanks

The risks of being obese/morbidly obese and even substantially overweight are ten fold OP

Not just of cancer although of course there is a massive increase in risk there, but heart disease, diabetes and all the associated conditions with that, stroke, hormonal diseases, falls, joint issues, digestion issues, internal prolapses (I have this for life now after being obese for many years)

I would say if you are truly concerned about cancer - reducing sugars is simply the best thing you can do..

my friends who both had cancer first thing they did was cut sugars.

i say this as someone who did Weygovy so not against it at all. ..

I had cancer 23 years ago and oncologists told me not to bother cutting down on sugar or dairy.

Do you think its possible that we know more now about how sugar affects the body than 23 years ago and that therefore advice might have changed?

It’s possible, yes. However, I would have expected a recurrence by now. I feel as if I’m jinxing myself by saying that. I’ve been to the funerals of some very athletic healthy eaters. That happens when you have cancer at a relatively young age - a series of funerals.

Well you're a sample size of 1, I think its generally understood how sugar is a hugely inflammatory and destructive product in the body, it will obviously be more significant for some than others.

They are not new!
They have been used after clinical research for almost 20 years for diabetes
Diabetes itself is a horrible condition with serious consequences caused by consistently high blood sugars

Yes, I’m certain I’m the only person ever to survive cancer and eat sugar.

FWIW my stepfather currently has aggressive cancer and HAS been told to cut back on sugar and alcohol as much as possible.
