Problem with GP when MedExpress inform them?

I'm looking to start and have been comparing prescribers.
MedExpress ask for your GP details, has anyone had any problems with their GP's when they've been informed?

No, no problem at all.
They just send a letter which gets added to your GP record. I'm not sure if the actual GP sees it or just the admin person.
If you have the NHS app you can see any letters received that are added to your record.

Something popped up that a GP practice had been sent 17 surveys in a short space of time to someone’s doctor. I think it was something I’d seen on a support group on fbook not on here as it were so you never know quite what is embellished or misunderstood. I’ve gone after those who claim their diabetes has improved but never bother posting about what medication they’ve been taken off.

my experience was with Saxenda it just went past the same GP each time when I would give authority for them to know so maybe someone I’m vaguely imaging a gp with an interest in this type of medication and appears to this day on the record with with the words (private) when whilst other important conditions have slipped off after some 1 year marker I’ve recently told the GP surgery ample times myself being on the latest class of medication and in the latest purchase found there is no change to the process and when clicked to inform GP for now greeted with the option ‘I will tell them’. (not a person who finds a different supplier without reason to/not a monthly switcher etc.)

I don’t have a great relation with my surgery (they do want they need to; seen a different diabetic nurse each time so you aren’t able to form a bond with anyone in particular) so it doesn’t worry me.

I'm with MedExpress. Two months in and nothing on my NHS record. I'm sure they sent it to my GP but it's a chaotic surgery at the best of times.

Your post prompted me to take a look via the NHS app to see if MedExpress actually sent a letter. I'm surprised to see they did and that it's actually on my online file. And that they sent another when I moved from 2.5mg to 5mg. and another when I moved to 7.5mg. The letter asks the GP to respond if they are aware of any conditions that I should have reported which is a sensible precaution on MedExpress's part.

The GPs aren't expected to respond unless they see a medical issue, so even if they don't agree with private scripts for weight loss drugs there no basis for them to respond. MedExpress are one of the more responsible providers so I think you would be fine.

I've just checked my NHS app and there is a letter from Med Express to my GP on there dated from my first order.

I'm not with Medexpress but have ordered pens from two different prescribers (Oushk and Pillsorted) which both sent letters to my GP. I have regular consultations/communication with my GP (for an unrelated medical condition) and they haven't brought it up - I suspect as PP suggested it's just added to your file and is unlikely to be actually read let alone questioned by the GP.

Med express wrote to my GP with every order. My GP wrote a snotty response back (clearly a template) which then resulted in ME asking me to send them my medical records. This just seemed a ball ache so I switched providers. I have declared all conditions and medication. And I'm happy for my GP to know I'm on MJ, but the faff of getting my records and send them was too much hassle. And I couldn't see any value.
