Clothing when you still have a few sizes to lose

So I have lost 3 stone (almost), and things are starting to feel too loose. I had lots of stretchy 20-22 stuff. I'm not sure but I think I am almost the next size down. As most stuff is loose or stretchy it hasn't been too much on an issue, but even my joggers are getting loose and I do look a bit like a defalted balloon in a few things.

I know my style which is kind of Scandi with a bit of an quirky edge, but can't get motivated to plough through Vinted. MJ seems to have robbed me of my urge to shop online, which is probably a good thing.

I don't want to spend lots on clothes if I shrink out of them in a few months. Any hints or tips? I might just invest in more stretchy stuff that can span two sizes.

I am particularly looking for jeans suggestions. I'm tall with long legs so ideally need a longer cut, but a bit of stretch is welcome too. Anyone tried Halara as they seem to cover two sizes?

I’ve lost about 3.5 stones, from a very snug 18 to a 12/14 so far. I’ve noticed that weight loss is so noticeable when you buy new clothing and it really gives you a boost. Totally understand why you can’t be bothered with Vinted though. What I did was replace some of my absolute favourite things by using Vinted (and then selling my larger ones).old I replaced an expensive duffle coat in 3 sizes smaller as I knew I loved it, a few joules hoodies that I wear a lot. Then I sold mine!

I'm just buying stuff from Vinted, wearing it and selling it again when it's too big. So the costs are minimal and occasionally I even make a profit. I started at 18-20 and now a 14 heading for 12. I have long legs too but have managed to find jeans ok on there.

The most comfy jeans I've found are Next mom jeans with stretch, I think they go up to size 20L or thereabouts, and they have a decent resale value. (I liked them so much I bought the next size down new.) Fat Face also do nice jeans I think, plus ASOS do good longer lengths and also have their curve range, you can find all these on Vinted.

So far I think I have bought next mom, FF mom and FF Chesham girlfriend. Plus some cords, ASOS do nice long ones. And a pair of Lucy and Yak Addison jeans, their longer length is 32ins I think. If you like Scandi that's all there, my best bargain so far is a pair of brand new Ganni trousers for £36.50.

I have just treated myself to some L+Y Alexas in the sale, and some FF cords to replace my ASOS ones from Vinted that are now too big. They're only just big enough so hopefully will fit me for a few months yet.

I am really enjoying the opportunity to try things now that so much more is available to me. I don't have to stick to whatever is available in my size that will cover me up to the max. It's also encouraged me to get rid of a load of stuff I have been waiting so long to fit into, I don't actually like it any more (looking at you, skinny jeans). Feels like all part of the life overhaul.

I strongly recommend you go to any shop with a changing room and actually try some sizes on because I think you'll be surprised.

I was same as you wearing size 22 most of it Jersey fabric and stretchy. Same as you I'm 3 and a half stone so have needed to get some new clothes. Went into Tesco and tried on a zip hoodie, started with XL because I'd usually go XXL, too big, so tried an L, too big, with awe and suspicion I tried a M and it zips up with room to spare!

So I tried on a dress in an 18, too big, 16, too big, 14 just about right, 12 goes on but a bit snug, so I'd say I'm a 14 with not long to go till I'm comfortably in a 12.

I was not expecting it and honestly got a little teary. I have never been this small as an adult, I was wearing women's size 12 by the time I finished primary school, I was wearing size 16/18 by the time I was 16 years old. I don't see it in the mirror at all, I still look like me,the me I've always been, but very clearly I am smaller.

I’ve lost 3 stone. I’ve bought a few key pieces such as 2 pairs of jeans as jeans falling down is not a good look. I’ve also bought one new dress. Apart from that I’m trying to make do a if I lose another 2 stone all my old clothes should fit!

For jeans I’d definitely go to a store to try. M&S is good as very affordable and they have so many different styles
