Calories on Mounjaro

Hi all. I have recently started my Mounjaro journey this week and things seem to be going well. I’m just wondering if everyone is still counting their calories? For context I’m 13 stone 6lbs, around 165cm tall and have a BMI of around 32. On the job I’m eating around 1200-1400 calories per day which puts me in a pretty big calorie deficit. Is it good to keep tracking your calories?

I had sinilar starting weight and height to you and use Nutracheck and track. Aim for between 1200 and 1400 a day.

Losing pretty much every week so all good.

Thank you, would you say that’s a healthy calorie intake? This not feeling hungry at all is bizarre for me because before starting these injections all I thought about was food 🤣

What's your TDEE? Whether it's healthy or not depends on how many calories you're burning on average.

mamaxbear · 28/01/2025 19:10

@InkHeart2024 my TDEE shows for weight loss 1735 cals a day and for an extreme weight loss 1235 per day

It is as good a place to start as any, but if you find, after the first couple of weeks, you are losing too rapidly you can up your calories.

You want to avoid the issues that come with rapid weight loss over a long period - hair loss, gallstones, additional muscle loss, slowed metabolism, loose skin, mental stress, nutritional deficiency, rebound weight gain etc
