I reached my dream goal!

I had a realistic goal and a dream goal 😅

I got close to my goal and couldn't lose anymore on my own nd took MJ to reach my dream goal.

I have 2 x 5mg jabs left and I'm not sure whether I should take a few 2.5mg to taper off? But I don't want to go any lower but worried about stopping cold turkey.

I reached my dream goal!

The photo says July 2021, is it a typo?

She has said she only started taking it more recently when she had already lost a lot of weight on her own.

amazing work, well done!

I've been on mounjaro 5 months but I lost the majority before, starting in 2021. I'd spent nearly a whole year at the same weight unable to move forward so decided to try MJ.

No really sorry. The jabs just worked really well for me and I did try to concentrate on protein.

@KitMg You look amazing! Congratulations on such a great weight loss. What health benefits have you found at the lower weight?

jay55 · 25/01/2025 17:38

Congratulations. Best of luck with the next stage.

TheOriginalMrsMoss · 25/01/2025 17:42

Wow! You look like an entirely different person. It's an incredible transformation and very inspiring.

If you ever have time to write it all out, it would be really interesting to hear your whole story from the start.

Total respect and admiration from me 👏

Congratulations. Best of luck with the next stage.

Thanks. I'm not too worried about maintaining because since 2021 I've not gained at all and spent 12 months maintaining a healthier weight. MJ just helped me get further than I could alone.

So many.
I had thyroid issues that have reversed. I don't get out of breath walking places. I've gone from sweating like mad constantly to always be chilly and not really sweating much.
I had a really bad knee. It hurt constantly and so did my back. Both are fine now.

And just general mobility. I remember struggling to just get out of the back of the car now I can flit around easily.

Wow, well done @KitMg - that must feel wonderful.
I think I’ve got a couple of months to go before I’m at a sensible weight for my height, not really sure what weight I’d be for a BMI of 25 but not looking too far ahead at the moment, just taking it week by week.
I’d probably use the last 2 jabs as they’ll only be binned otherwise because they won’t keep for long anyway (if you stick to manufacturers guidelines), but I’m not there yet and have PCOS so will need to plan some kind of maintenance strategy long term - damn fucked up broken hormones. Just grateful that it’s an option tbh!

Thanks. How are you finding it?

I think I might use 2.5mg of it for a few weeks to wean off rather than stopping hard.

OP posts:
TheChosenTwo · 25/01/2025 20:27

I think that’s a really good idea to wean yourself down a bit, get your body used to hunger cues etc again and making sure your new habits have a strong chance of sticking while you’ve still got a little bit of support from the MJ.
I’m finding it great tbh, very little in the way of any side effects other than being freezing most of the time but I’ve always been cold anyway, able to make good food choices as there isn’t any food noise in my way. Most of the time I totally forget I’m on it. I’ve dropped 40lbs in the 3 months and am working hard on strength training now and keeping up with my regular exercise aswell as maintaining my daily steps. With the PCOS I’ve always found it virtually impossible to shift anything but this has really knocked out all the cravings.

KitMg · 25/01/2025 21:18

40lbs in 12 weeks is insane! Well done!

Did you get a breast lift or augmentation also? Just wondering because if you didn’t please tell me what bra you are wearing!
I need one !!

well done x

healthybychristmas · 25/01/2025 22:49

Do you have a wrinkly tummy? I noticed mine was the other day and quickly pulled my jumper down!

No, I really wish I could get one as my breasts are terrible and very saggy but I can't afford it and would be too scared to have it done.

It's just a cheapie ann summers bra 😅

I’m the same it’s the price and the aggressiveness of the procedure itself.

You look great. Well done x

Yes, very wrinkly. Lots of stretchmarks from pregnancy and the weight gain. Saggyness.
But c'est la vie.

Yes especially as I couldn't have an augmentation alone, I would need an uplift and they cut your nipples off! I'd be too scared to lose one!

Just took 3.75mg of MJ
And will take 2.5mg of the bonus dose in a week.
Don't really want to lose anything over that fortnight but am hoping it will help me maintain rather than just stopping altogether
