My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Everyone welcome

Hey everyone! I only post sporadically but happy to say I reached a healthy BMI this week! 2 doses of 12.5mg left then have 15mg in the fridge. It's knocked me for six again like 5mg did! Curious about the maintenance plan! Hope everyone is getting on okay 🥰

Well done @HereIfYouNeedMe that is amazing!

Azuresky68 · 23/01/2025 09:26

@HereIfYouNeedMefantastic news!! Please let us know how maintenance goes. What are your plans after 15mg pen? Are you with anyone for maintenance?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2025 09:58

Morning. Slept well again but still tired. I think it’s 15

guess will take a few weeks to get used to the highest dose

doesn’t seem to make a huge dent in my suppression

have the odd meal I can eat half

but nothing the way some of you talk about suppression

hoping to have lost a lb Tom on WWJ and be 4stone lost

fingers and toes crossed

taste buds I def can’t do mild spiced stuff which is weird and annoying

few weeks ago was the chilli chicken pizza I loved. Blew my brains out and had to Chuck

before that a mild curry as in butter chicken and couldn’t eat

tried a chicken Aldi pasta Cujan dish last night. Licked the spoon after stirring it and nope

ended up with a quick tea of toast , bacon meds and fried eggs (often my breakie) which was cooked in 7mins as hungry

Chicken pasta went in the bin

Motnight · 23/01/2025 10:21

I had a posh salad for lunch yesterday when I was at work and was really ill almost straight away. I think that it might have been the grilled halloumi cheese 😞. A reminder that I can't eat everything that I think that I can!

NippyNinjaCrab · 23/01/2025 11:31

Morning, gosh Motnight that's horrible. I've avoided salad since the last time my tummy was really bad with pains and wind, just a mixed lettuce with nothing else. I was burping salad leaf earthy taste for a couple of days. Normally iceberg does that to me and I love it with a little salt on a wee sandwich. Not worth it.

It's now a red warning for winds here in the shire eeeeek! I wasn't planning on going out anyway but DH has given himself a huge list for tomorrow and is determined he's going out as he has something on Sat so can't shop that day. It would be stupidity to take the risk.

I've had some banana pear and tangerine this morning and having a mango and pineapple clear protein drink. I feel very ropey today, not MJ related just chronic body related. I can't take my babies out today, they are not giving a shit and are cosy with their throws 😂

I will WWJ tomorrow and do my 2.5mg super dooper mahoosive dose tomorrow and that should top me up nicely 👌

Looking at myself and having caught myself on the cameras another few pounds is needed off once I get to goal, 8lbs well depending on tomorrow's weigh in.

The tornado that is DH is driving home today, 6 hours, so I'm slowly getting organised then I'll attempt to tame the mop on my head.

Xx

I've just blended a smoothie - it includes chia seeds and flax. Both of these things usually affect me like porridge does (a food induced enema within half an hour). I've been taking lactulose and Movicol but not working.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2025 13:05

I’ve tried cottage cheese and Rivitta for lunch

its rank and dry - ate 1/2 of one

I won’t be continuing with it

This was 252c

think I would prefer a cuppa soup and banana

I couldn't eat that either Blondes. My fave lunch is packet of 4 roast turkey slices and 2 edam slices. I wrap 2 slices of turkey in an edam slice - Classy bird me 😆 245 Cals and 32g protein!!

poppym12 · 23/01/2025 13:28

Sorry to hear about your halloumi trauma @Motnight. I bloody love the stuff so only have it occasionally now or I'd easily bust my calorie allowance.

The smoothie hasn't worked.

@Blondeshavemorefun Try the Dr Karg Pumpking seed and cheese crackers - LOVE them and have a couple for lunch every day with Philly and smoked salmon.

Just caught up with you all. And I agree with the poor sleep (I was still awake at 5 am the other morning and the next day woke at 3, and that was it - I am running on empty ), but we are all at different doses, so I do wonder if it is a time of year related. I moved up to 7.5 a couple of weeks ago so it is easy to say its that and move down but I am going to carry on for the rest of the pen and see how it goes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2025 13:42

@PoemsForTeayours sound nicer !! Itv was like eating dry cardboard. People rave about rivitta. God knows why !

cottage cheese isn’t my fav but couldn’t manage it today

@poppym12 sorry hasn’t unblocked you

Maybe they would taste better without the cottage cheese

I like Phili and salmon

That's interesting @Azuresky68 - when I started MJ I was dubious about all the people talking about the supplements and what they took. And here I am taking all the things now! But honestly my side effects were so bad, so a lot of it is to do with that - the fibre supplement really does seem to help prevent me getting constipated, and if I can prevent that then it's less likely I'll get the D&V because the one seems to follow the other somehow. I don't know about the vitamins and stuff but I'm in the habit now and there were so many times I had either eaten barely anything, or had lost anything I had eaten to D&V, figured it couldn't hurt to supplement a bit.

Sorry to hear @Motnight, hope you're feeling a little better.

That's interesting about the salad @NippyNinjaCrab - so many of what I thought of as my health/ diet essentials are off the table now - broccoli is very sulfurous and really affects me, all the lentils and beans/ pulses which means I can't have hummus etc either, onions and peppers are dodgy ground as is cucumber though I do still eat those ones - makes the whole load up on veg thing more difficult. I've been ok with salad leaves so far though, touch wood anyway!

Can someone tell me what WWJ is please?

Bit gutted today seem to have had an undeserved gain of half a pound - serves me right for weighing mid week I guess. Weather is miserable - just stopped after raining all day, but true to form my weather app predicts it will start again just in time for the school run.

Rivita always tastes like shoe inserts 😁

poppym12 · 23/01/2025 14:07

I don't mind the dark rye Rivita but I also have Dr Kargs pumpkin ones if I fancy a cracker. I tried the ones with cheese too but wasn't keen.

And @Blondeshavemorefun, cottage cheese is revolting no matter how it's served! I'd rather have a thin slice of strong cheddar or a Laughing Cow light.

SilverSprings510 · 23/01/2025 15:32

I like ryvita, but I wouldn’t eat them dry, I like to dip them in soup 😋

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2025 15:46

wee weigh jab day

Love it!

Both Ryvita and cottage cheese are far too reminiscent of Weight Watchers and Slimming World for me, couldn't eat them. My husband will eat the dark rye ones dry like biscuits!

Although cottage cheese always makes me think of Vic and Bob

Those Dr Kargs are so nice!

I've taken some pics and I'm not happy with how I look 😕 I had the same outfit on as my 27th July pics i sent to Voy. Hideous. My belly is utterly awful still, it's actually really getting me down, I'm losing other places and I'm assuming visceral fat but not where I want to lose. I'm like a pound off 3 stone, I think I expected a major transformation 🤣🤣 i need to do more toning exercises and some bursts of speedy walking maybe?

I know this feeling - I'm sure there's a big difference, we just don't see it! I've lost just short of 3 stone too, and people comment on it all the time. But honestly I feel as big as ever - I was feeling quite good back in Dec before I stopped for a bit, and now even though I'm at most 2 lbs over that weight, I feel like I've put the whole lot back on. A friend commented how slim I looked in a picture just yesterday, I was showing her some jeans I'd bought (there's a bit of an in-joke I won't bore you with) - but honestly when I took the picture I wanted to cry, I felt I looked huge in it and actually said to my DH I'm not sure why I'm bothering I still look and feel awful! The jeans were a 14 and a little roomy on me - my previous ones were 18/20 - how can I not feel any different?

weaselyeyes · 23/01/2025 17:11

I love Ryvita, but they tip me towards the carb love! I also love cottage cheese, though I try not to eat too much dairy, particularly with loads of black pepper on. Dr Kargs are stupendous, but also about three times the calories and a bit pricey.

@NippyNinjaCrab and @AuntieDote I think the issue may just be that the last pounds count for more than the first ones. A slim person who put on half a stone would be horrified at the difference it made, whereas when I was at 14 stone it would have been neither here nor there really! I do get how you feel, as I just keeping focusing on how fat and flabby I look. But then I think a/ I am still overweight, so this is what overweight looks like b/ it will get better and every pound from now on will make more of a difference c/ to some extent I've got used to being smaller than I was, so I've got back into being critical rather than being pleased at weight loss. If someone said to me when I was moaning about not looking much thinner that I could just go back to being over 3.5 stone heavier again, I wouldn't say yes!
