I have an under active thyroid, takinglethyroxine but a relatively low dose.

I really want to try the injections but I'm worried about the thyroid concerns!

I had a full thyroidectomy in late 2021, and have been on Ozempic since August 2023. I take l-thyroxine.

No issues at all. I discussed with my GP and he had no concerns.

Almost 9st down and feeling great.

Yes, I take levothyroxine and have not had any issues. As I understand it the risk in the clinical trials was for a specific type of thyroid cancer and was seen in rats (who apparently have far more receptors than we do). This didn't translate to the human studies but perhaps they will see it in future once mor data is available. The warning is for people with a family history of that type of thyroid cancer. Good luck, it is life changing. Make sure you get your bloods retaken once you have lost weight too.

I've been taking it for a month or so and the constipation has been awful - was bad enough before!

I've only just started, second jab tomorrow but I'm on 100mcg of thyroxine.

I’m on 50 mg of levothyroxine. I’ve been on MJ since October. Some nausea, indigestion and constipation. Nothing that I can’t manage with following guidance re the type of food to eat (high fibre, fruit, veg, protein etc). Im not worried about the other side effects as the benefits for me at least clearly outweigh any risks. I am a slow loser though. To be expected which is why being hypothyroid is recognised as a comorbidity.
