Help before I give up

Hello All

Backstory. Due to insulin resistance, terrible levels of stress and messed up body from sepsis, I have gained a lot of weight.

I have finally got a grip on things and started go diet about 2 years ago. I preferred to do slower weightloss so my skin has chance to absorb as I go. I have naturally lost 3.6stones with good diet and increased physical activity. Nothing crazy, I struggle to exercise as single parents due to my ex not having the DC at all.

Anyway i am fed up of the slow weight loss so decided to start Mounajoro end of October. I must say I feel really lucky with how little side effects I have comparing to reading people's experiences especially on 5mg. Now I have caught the virus 10 days and boy was I sick. I have ended up on antibiotics which also collided with increase dose of mounjaro to 7.5mg. I have also quit smoking and lost 16lbs on 2 pens. Not sure if that's good or bad but it's moving.

Now the issue is I feel tired. I feel so tired I have no energy to get out of bed. I'm not sure if that's mounjaro, mounjaro and antibiotics, or mounjaro antibiotics and aftermath of illness on top of usual tiredness of being a single parent ( I have demanding job and other commitments that already make me tired). I'm struggling to eat too, all I crave is sugar.

What can I do to help myself? Or do I give up mounjaro ? I can't function like this anymore. I could sleep all day, every day !

Thanks all 🙏

Your expectations were unrealistic, losing 3+ lbs a week consistently for months on end is very rapid.
if you were losing 2-3lbs weekly without MJ you didn’t need the MJ and can do it alone easily!

I guess my expectations are unrealistic which is what I said above after watching too many tik tok videos. I mean loosing 2-3 lbs per week requires help and keto is a difficult and demanding diet. It has been hugely beneficial as cleared up my migraines that I was about to get botox for and my cholesterol and insulin levels got under control but its hard diet to sustain when you are crazy busy.

I decided to use MJ as I wanted bigger loss and reintroduce some carbs into my life.

2-3lb weekly consistent loss is excellent progress. Any more would be far too quick and would certainly mean losing a lot of muscle. I’m sorry, but you have been given very unrealistic expectations of MJ.

We are on thread 4 of the long-running and very supportive community of MNers using WLI to lose five stone or more. Please do come and join us. There is lots of sensible advice about using MJ to lose large amounts of weight safely and sustainably.

Which post/ group is that please 🙏

You're eating your main bulk of food/energy at night, and you're in a calorie deficit.
Please reverse it and try to eat a larger meal at breakfast and lunch and something smaller in the evening as you NEED CALORIES IN THE DAY TO FUEL YOUR ENERGY. Not at night when your body is winding down to go to sleep!
Prep night before if you're time constrained, overnight oats with chia and protein shake, boiled egg, half avocado as suggestions.
Eat whole foods as much as possible, they'll give your body nutrition and ENERGY.
I know it's difficult to eat on these jabs, but looking at your diet, it's not enough calories in the DAY ie. When you are expending your energy!
Wishing you the best OP xx

I think 2-3lb consistently a week is great. Any more is unhealthy. Sure you could srarve yourself but what good is that? Jyst a suggestion but your diet could do with a bit of an overhaul. I would ditch the rice with your soup and make the soup more filling instead. Shredded chicken and beans or lentils added to it eg.
You are having snacky food cos you are hungry. No sugar - hard boiled egg with a spoon of homemade coleslaw and a rice cake instead for example.

Thank you. Great suggestions. I can batch prep oats, I used to love these. I will get on it this week 🙏
