Been on weygovy since June 24 and since increasing to the highest dose 2.4mg I've been having daily dizziness.
I had a 2 week break and decided to change to Mounjaro been on the lowest 2.5mg for a week and the dizziness continues . I've had bloods done and an ECG and all is ok so doc concludes it's the injections .
Has anyone else experienced the same and if so have you found any resolution ?

Is it low blood sugar or dehydration? So eat little and often and enough calories and drink lots of water? I had it first few weeks but then it went with electrolytes

I've bought some electrolyte tablets to try today as I'm not a great drinker I must confess . Let's hope they help 🙏🏽

Would the blood tests have covered whether or not it's low blood sugar? I would imagine they also checked your BP?

According to this article on the Asda Online Doctor website the advice to treat dizziness is:

"Mounjaro dizziness

Dizziness can be treated by:

  • drinking plenty of fluids
  • lying down until it passes, then getting up carefully and slowly
  • avoiding driving or using heavy machinery if you feel dizzy to prevent accidents
  • getting enough rest
  • avoiding stressful situations and finding ways to reduce your stress levels, as this could be contributing to your dizziness
  • taking Mounjaro after food and drink, especially if you get dizzy right after your injection

Mounjaro is most likely to cause dizziness if your blood sugar levels are low (hypoglycaemia), although you can get dizziness as a side effect with normal blood sugar levels. If you get dizziness when taking Mounjaro, especially if you have other symptoms like headache, weakness, or irritability, speak with your doctor so they can check your levels."

No idea if any of that is actually helpful!

Yeah I've had all bloods done and everything is good . I'm gonna try to drink more and use the electrolytes daily to see if that helps . Thanks for the info x

Try dextrose glucose tablets, get in most supermarket and on Amazon. Pop one when feeling dizzy, it is possibly low blood sugar.

I had this the first couple of months on Mj. It wasn’t low blood sugar and eventually settled. To begin with it happened every time I moved quickly or exerted myself but over time it lessened.

doesanyonecare · 08/01/2025 18:06

How long did it take to subside ?

I’ve been on Mounjaro since June 24 and have had continued dizzy episodes from about a week in. For me I know it’s low blood pressure (which is a possible side effect) as I’ve been checking it regularly. I had similar dizziness when I was younger (and thinner) and had low blood pressure. For me it’s usually when I stand up quickly.
