Is there a Mounjaro January starters thread?

Exactly that. Is there already a thread for people starting Mounjaro in January? I've had a look but can't see one. My first dose is tomorrow, and I'm feeling a bit anxious. Wondered if anyone else is embarking on this particular weight loss journey now/soon?

So, advice needed please. I am planning on having quiche Lorraine for dinner with home made wedges and either veg/salad. I've always known that quiche isn't great because it's high in calories but was horrifies that this particular one is nearly 400 per quarter. If I were to cut the crust off would this be better? Is this where most if the calories are? If I cut them off can I have a slightly bigger bit? It's the evenings I struggle with the most so I do need a decent (ish) sized dinner.

@Shmee1988 I would probably leave all/most of the pastry and just eat the filling, it will have more protein than the pastry. Then I would fill up on veg and salad, and perhaps have a couple of wedges.

So you mean take off the crust and eat the inside and leave the base? Good idea. God why are the best bits always the worst bits?! Lol

Yes, that's the sort of thing I meant. These days I actually prefer the salad/veg and the more protein-y parts rather than the pastry! Would not have believed that before starting Mounjaro.

I'm only on day 3 so even though I'm not as hungry as usual, I'm still not getting that 'full feeling'. I'm pretty good during the day but the evenings have always been my downfall. I think I'll try this and maybe let myself have a slightly bigger bit. 5 potato wedges and lots of peas,cm carrots and Brocoli. I'm sure that'll be okay ...... hopefully the more I inhect the more I'll feel the effects.

Started Mounjaro in March starting weight 104kg and now currently 87.6kg.I have gone up a dosage every 4 weeks but have stopped at 10mg as this is the first one I have had side effects with.I had nausea everyday and diarrhoea and literally could only have about 3 mouthfuls off any food before feeling like I wanted to throw up.I am going to go back down to 7.5mg and staying there.I have had such a positive experience for. This losing weight and feeling so confident.Confidence I haven’t had in about 4-5years.

I started in Jan and have now finished my MJ journey! Main side effect was hair loss but otherwise felt fine throughout. I only went up as far as 3.75mg.

Went from 75.4 to 60.1kg, back to a normal bmi
