Has anyone else signed up to Shemed for their offer starting tomorrow. Am I going to get stung? Does anyone have history with them?

Don’t think anyone CAN have any history as they’re new?
I have seen them mentioned several times but my understanding was that you cannot join if you are already taking a glp1 as they are involved in some sort of research project 🤷‍♀️

Onebaldandonehairy · 01/12/2024 20:22

I was on wegovy a year ago. It sounds like a bargain but it also sounds too good to be true.

I guess I will have to wait until there is more information tomorrow 🤷‍♀️

Hello. I've just seen your thread mentioned as I started a similar thread!

I've just signed up with them. They answered all my questions in the phone so I'm going to give it a go.

Kebabo · 31/12/2024 20:19

Kebabo · 31/12/2024 20:21

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 31/12/2024 20:31

Yay yes! There's another thread too with a couple more who have signed up so there will be a few of us 😊😍

Kebabo · 01/01/2025 00:36

McGarityA · 05/01/2025 19:22

I’ve just signed up! Need to keep each other posted!

Kebabo · 05/01/2025 22:43

Definitely. I will post once I finally hear that the blood test is on its way.

Muminhamp · 21/01/2025 07:08

Im keeping new eye on
it too, do they ask for pictures to verify weight?

Shmallow · 21/01/2025 09:47

@Muminhamp You verify weight weekly via a 30 second online call where you hold your camera over the scales. You have to do this on the blood test phone call initially as well. It's part of what you sign up to. There are a couple of threads of lots of us who are on it now if you're curious to see what the process is like.

Well I have had a disappointing experience with SheMed and am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? The cost is now apparently £159 per month, and the offer of £99 for the first month is 'a mistake'' My pen did not work when I got it, and I assumed it was me as I have never previously self injected. After half a dozen attempts to contact SheMed (their on line form doesnt work and e mails go unanswered) I went to my local pharmacy for help. They confirm the pen is stiff and will not turn, ie, not working. I asked for a new pen. Various e mails later, I think the computer says no but very annoyingly they want me to understand that they sympathise fully with my situation. I gather i am not the only one with comms problems. Ive asked for a refund. Anyone else?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/05/2025 12:49

Did you ring them? They've been fantastic in my experience - usually emails same day or 24 hours and phone calls they'll ring back if busy.

Usually with the pens it's user error as in it needs a new needle or it's been handled wrong. However if it isn't working it's a manufacroere problem so it should be replaced. You could have also tried the pharmacy it comes from.

Genuinely been amazing from my perspective. I had a comma blip over bank holiday weekend then a pharmacist was in email correspondence with me and incredibly helpful. There's 1000s in the grips quite happy so it isn't their usual mode.

Have you tried the 2facebook groups - shemed community or shemed warriors?

Although tbh it sounds like you need to speak to them. It usually is user error but they should ld be able to help with that.

Scarriff · 08/05/2025 16:05

I'm reluctant to rain on anyone's parade but no, they don't answer the phone or e mails. I only got a response (after several days) by writing a review for a site which they monitor. Their ion line contact form doesnt work either. I'm getting the feeling this provider started out terrific, but something changed recently .

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/05/2025 16:34

Oh how strange. They they have recently for me! Sorry it's not worked out. Hope it does with your new provider.

They are a very poor company. There’s a lot of history on them

Scarriff · 05/06/2025 22:30

I'd just like to sign off here by saying SheMed gave me a full refund yesterday and the matter is at an end.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 06/06/2025 05:24

Ah glad it's sorted for you. Are you going to continue with MJ elsewhere? All the best whatever you decide.

Scarriff · 06/06/2025 06:39

Yes I found another supplier and am now in my third week. Weight is dropping slowly but steadily and while my sugar cravings have not diminished I'm eating less. A friend recommen
ded protein bars to boost protein intake. Seems a good idea at least foe me who was missing the chewing. Good luck all.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 06/06/2025 08:28

Ah that sounds like a fantastic start! The first pen is just to get your body used to the medication and weight loss is a bonus so you're doing great. I'm now on 7.5 and genuinely my tastes have completely changed. Its worked so well for me but is a gradual process. So great you're back on the wagon 😊

Scarriff · 06/06/2025 09:08

Very grateful for all the encouragement here
