Smallest gap between jabs?

DH has jumped on the WLI bus with me, and started on 2.5mg this week. Had great suppression the first couple of days, and now it's worn off he's chomping at the bit to take another dose! What number of days between jabs is viable? I've suggested a day earlier, he wants to go two days early Confused
He had no real side effects other than tiredness the first day...

Its recommended to stick to the weekly dose and not try to do early out of impatience. I'd advise him to wait it out. It will build up in his system and he has to give it time to work.

However if he wants to do early, you can change the day you take your dose but be sure to leave at least 72 hours gap according to the guidelines. He really shouldn't keep doing it early everytime he's impatient. I'm not sure it would be healthy for his system.

7 days unless you discuss with your provider first. He is at the stage where his body is getting used to the medication, even if he is not getting the appetite suppression side effect the medication is still in his body and his liver/kidneys are learning to process it and each week the concentration in his body will increase slowly.

There are instructions in the box about changing days as a one off but not as a regular occurrence.

Instead of playing with the medication schedule suggest he plays with his diet, start introducing more protein, drinking more water etc. He needs to be patient in regards to the medication

Honestly, the side effects of this medication are not something to mess with.

These loading doses are for building up the amount of medication in your body over time.

I'm sure he'll do what he wants but I wouldn't recommend it.

They are not "loading" doses. A "loading" dose is a higher initial dose which is then reduced to a maintenance dose. Somethings like B12 injections have a high "loading" dose which is then reduced to maintain levels.

Mounjaro does not have "loading" doses, they are starter/initial doses.

You have to be patient with mounjaro. Allow your bodies to adjust to the initial doses by following the prescribed schedule. Yes it’s an amazing drug not not a quick fix.

Ok.

It's ok, I've convinced him to wait Smile
I think he was so impressed with the initial effects of the drug he was keen to get on with it as he felt them wearing off.
To his credit, he's already lost over a stone through healthier eating and exercising daily before starting Mounjaro, so he's getting into good habits and this is just to help him manage the food noise.
