Will hunger be "off the scale" on the other side?

I'm getting close to an ideal weight and I've got half an eye on what life will be like without MJ. I feel I've established good habits etc. But a good habit would be hard to remember if I was experiencing hunger as RAVENOUS or off the charts.

In my head I've got it that maybe hunger will be "normal" but after being suppressed that I'll experiment it as extra strong.

Anyone have any experience? Whats it going to be like?

It will take a couple of months for you to be fully clear of the MJ, but yes, the hunger will come back once it's gone. This isn't my personal experience, but I've been watching the US Mounjaro forums on reddit carefully for their maintenance comments, and that seems to be a consensus.

"Learning good habits" is just part of the experience, and you won't really know how you'll feel until you're off of it fully.

(UK boards don't have many people who are long off of MJ which is why I'm watching the USA ones for info, they've had it much longer)

I've been off a fortnight now and it's ok so far. I'm still calorie counting and so far have kept weight stable.

I am hungry at times but I make better choices Sandwich with fruit instead of a biscuit etc.

Fresh Soup for dinner some nights
Absolutely no low fat or low cal shit. Just tasty satisfying food.

I finished MJ just over 28 days ago, all the drug will now be out of my system.

There’s no denying I feel hunger now but that’s to be expected as I’ve been medicating myself not to for 6 months 😂

Its about recognising if I need to eat, or just want to.

The difference for me now from before is that I had little incentive not to eat constantly because the hill was just too steep to climb to lose the weight to I’d just carry on eating.

Now, I don’t want to pile weight back on so am much more mindful of what I’m eating and when. The hunger is manageable but there’s no doubting it’s back with a vengeance!!

I’ve been thinking about this too. I’ve got about a stone to go until my ideal weight.

I think I’m going to try and taper off slowly- reducing dose over a couple of months so that hopefully it’s not too much of a cliff edge.

No idea whether that’s scientifically valid but seems to make sense in my head!

Thanks folks! You've been helpful.

I can get my head around "normal" hunger returning. I was concerned that after being suppressed I'd experience the hunger as something extra horrible 😬

I'm also planning on tapering back down again before stopping.
