Mounjaro and anxiety

I have been on Mounjaro for three weeks. Amazing results - 17lbs loss.

Full disclosure I am also on any depressants and have been for years but very stable.

After my third jab I started feeling odd - has led to a full anxiety/panic disorder that I'm now working through with diazepam. It's genuinely been one of the worst weeks of my life.

Just wanted to mention here in case anyone has had similar and if not just to keep an eye out. I hope I was just incredibly unlucky

I have been on MJ for several months and for about 4 weeks recently had anxiety. Not something I usually have. I took some setraline for a couple of weeks from GP, then stopped the setraline as the anxiety seemed to go quite quickly. I wanted to see if it came back before committing longer-term.

I continued as normal on the MJ and touchwood, things back to normal it seems.

I don’t know whether it was the Mounjaro or not. However, pharmaceutical companies do not list all the side-effects. I know this for a fact from my own experience with a different drug, where I had to hunt round to find the really weird but very unpleasant symptom I had (dipsomania). I also think drug companies tend to minimise side-effects.

Actually, on Mounjaro, I haven’t had many side-effects at all, so that at least has been welcome. However, I was very, very cautious when going up in doses, and I started at half the normal dose as well. If anything I was too cautious! I lost weight, and I’m losing weight very slowly.
