Bonus - dose … plunger wouldn’t move

So I’ve done a lot of research about the 5th/bonus dose in the Mounjaro pen. My pen is on 29 days open so I thought I would give it a try. I used pliers to get past the ‘click’ and wound the pen to one. The needle was firmly secured , the issue is I have ‘administered ‘ the dose and the plunger inside the vial has not moved and there is still the same amount of medicine left. Has anyone had this? I think the plunger is broke now maybe - the needle is on properly and a few droplets came out when I tested.

I'm assuming if you are withdrawing the fluid with a syringe you are changing your needle as the one used will be blunted?

It's not ideal but re-using the once I think would be OK.
The insulin needles are made for people using vials of medication and I don't think they change the needle?
I think the needles are made that way/common practice to pierce the vial barrier and then inject in the skin using the same needle.
I could be completely wrong.

i sterilise the sterile needle before withdrawing the fluid with an alcohol wipe and then wiped it again after . You can’t change the needle of a fixed needle insulin syringe - not what I have anyway!
