Is there a tablet to take instead of injections?

I've tried googling but can't wade through all the crap ones to make head nor tail of it.

Is there a wegovy in tablet form we can get in the uk?

semaglutide comes as a tablet - trade name RYBELSUS but it is not licensed in the uk for weight loss, you you need to find a Dr willing to prescribe off license. No idea how you would do that.

You could speak to one of the pharmacies offering weight loss injections to see if they offer any other treatment options and then research them.

Orlistat (prescribed) and berberine (OTC not sure if actually effective but some say it helps curb appetite a little) are also talked about on here.

Is there no way you can use the injections? Is it the needle that is the issue? I am a needle wimp - I have fainted at the Drs when getting bloods done, I need to lie of their treatment table now just in case I do it again 😳, but I managed to do these injections, I knew I needed to or my obesity was going to kill me.

Yes there is Orlistat which pulls fat from your digestive tract before it can fully be metabolised (so essentially you poo out some of the fat you've eaten) but I've not tried it and heard very mixed reviews. It doesn't help with appetite suppression or cravings. Can't imagine it would take you very far if you have more than a few pounds to lose.

I did try Mysimba earlier in the year which is supposed to suppress appetite. It's a tablet. Lots of people on the Facebook group I followed had good results but for me it did literally nothing. Not a pound lost in two months and I actually felt hungrier.

I agree with @WeAllHaveWings , the injection for Mounjaro is virtually painless. It's tiny, nothing like a needle you would see at the doctor's for a vaccination.
