Scared to start

Hi all, this is my first ever post but I’ve been reading about mj for a while and I’m eager to start however I worry it won’t work for me as I don’t feel like I’m ever hungry or full but I still eat I think it’s more in my head than my bodies actual need for food. I’ve been overweight since I was about 8. Has anyone else like this has success?

@ProudCoralBear yep, that's probably a fair description of most of us here that are using Mounjaro!! Certainly me. I started at the beginning of July and have lost about 4.5 stone so far.

Thank you, I know it probably seems like a silly question but I read so much where people say it stops the hunger and it occurred to me I don’t always eat because I’m hungry I just eat and eat and don’t know why. It’s good to hear that it might work for me too.

I stopped snacking and mindlessly eating from the first day I did the injection. It's like a switch has been flipped in my brain and I just don't care about food in that way any more.

I could snack for England and never feel full. Started in April at nearly 15 stone and I'm now 9 stone 7

Ive also never had what I'd recognise as real appetite suppression, although it's reduced of course. And I've never worked up beyond 5mg.

I just eat around 1400 calories a day and my portions are small as that's all i fancy

Are you a diabetic? Because if not, seriously consider whether you need it. There's a current shortage and those for whom it was medically intended cant get hold of it because people want to lose weight easily.

@waitingforthebus I think that's to do with drug companies and greed. Not individuals whom are doing nothing wrong

@waitingforthebus you're misinformed. Mounjaro is medically intended for weight loss, it's not in shortage and no one is taking it away from diabetics. Making obese people lose weight easily is a good thing not something to have a problem with, for goodness sake.
