Where should I get Mounjaro from?

Okay I'm 'obese' according to my BMI (although I struggle to think of myself as an obese person). I've always been very slim, but have piled the pounds on over the past few years since having kids.

I've heard of Mounjaro and am desperate to try it. Has anyone found a particuarly good (and good value!) provider? I know Boots, Superdrug, Asda etc do it, but qas wondering if anyone has found one provider especially better than others. Are the prices pretty much equivalent?

Many thanks!

I use boots. Only problem is that they don't text me like they should when it's ready so I pop in 5 days after approved and it's there. You can also link your boots card if you have one. So can earn points on that.

I’m on my third pen…. I’ve bought from medexpress, zava and am waiting for a delivery from oushk. I found all three very efficient but medexpress were the quickest

simb · 05/10/2024 21:32

I've found medexpress very good - quick delivery and arriving well packaged with cool packs.

I've pmd you my discount code in case you might decide to try them but no pressure as different people find different providers good for various reasons.

I'm very pleased with medexpress and their prices. They have been responsive with support questions too

This is my experience of Wegovy and Mounjaro.

I’ve used Juniper, Right Angled, Asda and Boots. My priority was the quality of the product and how its transported.
Juniper were great but when there was a shortage they kept me on a lower dose for such a long time and I started to feel that I was being robbed. They did pack the prescription well and it always arrived cold in an ice pack.
Asda were fine but the order took ages.
Right Angled were useless. I had a delivery in August during warm weather and it took three days to arrive. No ice pack and the pen was warm to the touch when it arrived. They said it would be ok but I binned it and never used them again.
I only use boots now. I pick it up from the pharmacy and the online contact is useful and not intrusive. They are a lot more expensive but I balance it off with the 10% repeat discount and the Advantage Points.

@surreygirl1987 have a look here for suppliers, prices, trustpilot reviews etc. Oushk are the only ones there with a 5* rating but there are others with high 4s.

Followingyoursteps · 05/10/2024 21:39

You can check Voy - they're good and offer coaching. I have a code linked if you'd like me to send to get you an £80 discount.

Alternatively, you can check the list of different suppliers and their prices as well. Goodluck x

Okay, so I decided on Medexpress, but now I'm worrying about the delivery. I work full time outside my home. How do I deal with actually getting it? It seems to be delivered to a person's house, and they have to be in, and it has to stay cold. What do you do if you work?? Thanks!

Oushk let you chose the delivery day, I think they re the only ones that offer that.

But I work full time so am never in during the week... unless they deliver at weekends?

Thanks- I'm sure I read that they'll only deliver if it can be directly dropped off with a person though and signed for?

How do other people manage this? Or do you all work from home??

Oushk allow you to pick DPD or Royal Mail (signed for or just tracked), pretty sure they do weekends too.

Because of its cold transit delivery can be tricky, they usually stay cold for 48hrs, but if you miss the delivery it starts the clock on discard pen after being out the fridge for 30 days. Also watch out for with safe places, unless it is secure, if it goes awol you bear the cost and they are not cheap!

I WFH on a Friday so pre book my deliveries with Oushk for that day.

They offer Saturdays. 😊

surreygirl1987 · 07/10/2024 07:22

Thanks. Sounds like delivery won't work for me. Does anyone know of a provider where I can pick one up from store? Preferably one that isn't super expensive (comparing the cost of Boots to Medexpress for instance!). Thanks again!

Argh just tried to order and it says this... (pic attached). That looks like the only delivery option? How do you arrange for it to be left in a safe place rather than signed for??

Where should I get Mounjaro from?

I opted for Oushk specifically because you can choose delivery days (up to two months in advance) - most other companies wouldn't guarantee the exact day and that wouldn't work for me. Their prices are also competitive (and none of their customers get a discount for recommending them!)

Notsurename · 07/10/2024 20:24

Medexpress use Royal Mail and if you aren’t going to be in you have the option of diverting it to a post office - mine stays open to 5.30 so I can just make it to pick it up. They won’t leave it in a safe place in my experience.
just swapped to Curate and regretting it as they use DPD only and there are no other options apart from being in.

I’m sure with DPD when the text arrives in the morning giving you the 1 hour slot there are options on their website re what to do if you’re not going to be in - you can ask them to change dates, leave in a safe space, or deliver to a neighbour..

Are you unable to have parcels sent to your work? That’s basically what I do. (Though I do all of our purchasing so I don’t think anyone thinks much of another parcel to drop off at my desk)

Oushk is the only one I’ve heard of that allows you to pick a delivery date, and that includes Saturdays. However, I’d add the big caveat that you need to be very careful with their websites calendar, because it seems to easily reset if the screen refreshes or something. I’m not the only person it’s happened to according to their FB group. Luckily I was there for the delivery, but it meant I had the pen several weeks earlier than I required it.

Many thanks - I did order with Oushk in the end, and was delighted they offer Saturday delivery - game changer for me!

@cakewench I work in a very large establishment and it can take days for a parcel to get to me if I order at work, and could easily go missing. The intetnal systems arent very efficient! Thanks for the idea though!

Unfortunately not with DPD there are no other options with medication every other option is greyed out . Other types of parcels you can do all of those things but not medication apparently!
