Moving to Oushk (or other supplier for on-going maintenance) with BMI under 25?

I've been on Mounjaro since July. Since then, I've lost 25 pounds and am within 7 pounds of my target weight. I'm on 5mg. My provider is Voy.

Assuming that I hit my target in the next month or so, I'm very keen to continue taking some form of maintenance dose, as I have no faith that I won't simply put the weight back on, if I were to stop taking Mounjaro entirely.

Voy is not cheap. I've managed to get all pens with a substantial discount to date, owing to referral codes, but now they've changed the discount policy, it's going to be more expensive.

I understand that Oushk (amongst others) offer on-going maintenance plans at a lower cost than Voy. My question is whether anyone has had any success in swapping providers, where their BMI is under 25? Mine is now 23.7 and I hope to get it to around 23 once I'm at target.

I appreciate I can just ask, but would be good to know if others have had any success?

You may be able to move to Oushk but the decision, now that your bmi is under 25, rests with the pharmacist who will decide on a case by case basis. You need to book an online consultation to discuss in depth. Certainly people are beginning to do this now (the plans were only launched last month) and have been successful.

@DappledOliveGroves can I ask who you got Mounjaro through as I'm guessing with your weight loss so far and your current BMI, your starting BMI was around 27/28.

Mine is around that and have been rejected despite me have T2

@FlippityFloppityFlump - I went with Voy. My starting BMI was 28 but I have long-standing back issues which seemed to tick the box for being approved. Having said that, Voy don't contact your GP, so they only have your word for whatever co-existing condition you may have.

I did. I called and spoke with the pharmacist, and then sent them proof of my previous prescriptions and my weight loss details.

I was interested in their maintenance plans as am close to my target, so wanted to switch to take advantage of that.

Thanks, @rrra . Was it a fairly straightforward process? I can provide the proof etc that they need. What maintenance dose are you going to be using?

Yes it was really straightforward. The last few lbs are taking their time so I've not started maintenance as such, but I didn't go any higher than 5mg so I'm still using that. She did suggest some ways to taper down when I spoke to her, so I'll probably have another conversation when I'm at that point.

I’ve moved over to oushk after 2 months with zava for the same reason, my bmi was getting close to 25 and I didn’t want to be rejected from the maintenance plan later down the line.

I emailed them first to ask if I could easily move over and for more info about maintenance. They replied really quickly and told me to complete the online form which worked out bmi, sent a photo of my prescription on the box and I didn’t need to send photos of myself. Very simple and reassuring knowing I’m now with a provider that won’t cut you off suddenly.

Ohhh this is good to know! I'm a ways off getting to that point, but hoping to eventually, when I'll want to maintain what I've lost! Off to google Oushk!
