My mum had thyroid cancer 5 years ago, she had it removed and had some radiotherapy and is fine now.
When I was doing the Voy questionnaire I selected that a close family member had thyroid cancer and I presume was told I was ineligible on that basis. However, when doing the Juniper eligibility questionnaire when I said a close family member has a history of thyroid cancer I was still able to go ahead and make the purchase.
Does anyone (medical or otherwise) know what the risk is for me? Is it that some injections are ok but others aren't? I am at 16st and 5ft2in and was really hoping to start the injections soon but I'm feeling a bit nervous about the thyroid cancer risk now and thinking perhaps it isn't worth the risk of cancer. FWIW I don't have any thyroid problems myself (I got tested after my mum's diagnosis).
Any advice is really appreciated, thank you!
