Looking for any buddies or cheerleaders to share this journey with. My confidence has taken a real knock recently and I want to feel better about myself. I’m 13 stone 7lbs and 5’2 so don’t anticipate any problems getting it.

Any pointers on what to expect appreciated!

@rhazhu14 hello 👋 I've been using Mounjaro since the start of July, and anticipate continuing for several months more yet as I have a very large amount of weight still to lose.

There is a "Continuing Mounjaro..." thread in this section which is a long running thread for anyone using Mounjaro. There's also monthly threads for people who are starting at roughly the same time. I think there's a late September one, or you could start an October one if that's more in your timeline.

There's such a range of experiences that what to expect could include lots of differences! Some people get an immediate effect on the starting dose, others it can take 4 weeks or more to start feeling it. The key is patience and talking about it here if it helps.

Thank you, I’ll join those threads! It isn’t cheap so I really, really hope it starts to work soon.

Hey! I ordered yesterday too, still awaiting confirmation of dispatch. 5ft 4, 15 stone here, and would be over the moon if I even lost 2 stones, but am aiming for 4.

Ive been using it since March and have lost and maintained 45lb loss. I have to log everything I eat and control my intake to lose weight- the medication helps me with that but I still have to do the hard work, make good choices.

My recommendation would be to do a lot of research about how it works, and properly budget for long term use and take it really slowly, paying attention to your nutritional intake.

Your “better work soon cause it’s expensive“ comment is raising alarm bells tbh, as it’s a tool for lifestyle changes, and sustaining those changes is the key really. You need to be committed to staying on this long term imo… it takes 2 years for your body to adjust to a new weight set point. If you only use this in the short term you risk putting it all back on when you stop. An expensive waste of time!

Good luck on your journey!

Starting mine 4 months ago was the best thing I've done for my health. I am 51 lbs down and feel so much better for it. I am about 20-ish lbs away from my goal and I feel like I could reach it.
I'm still only on 5 mg.

My advice is to focus on eating a healthy diet - lots of fiber, lots of protein, drink lots of water (minimum 2 l a day), and introduce exercise. A walk counts too. Just do something for yourself every day.
