Just done my first every mounjaro injection !

And I've scared myself reading the threads about side effects !! Tell me I'm not going to shit myself !

I've just had my first dose. Feel a bit tired and have a wee headache but that might just be psychosomatic 😂.

I've had a cuppa soup with a few Melba toasts for lunch and don't feel like I want anything else. I don't eat breakfast usually so by now I'm normally famished.

Fingers crossed us all !

Did you just guess your weight when ordering?
Honestly weigh yourself now or you'll miss out on seeing those numbers going down each week.
I have slept badly for years but now sleep much better. I still wake up most nights for a wee but I can now go back to sleep a lot quicker.

Did you not weigh yourself to get your mounjaro? . I would definatly weigh yourself, then you can see how much you lose.. !

Starving this morning but it’s that weird hungry where I feel sick too. I only jabbed on Sunday!

I'm about to do my 3rd injection tomorrow. So 2 weeks in. It's game changing. I've lost 5lb in 2 weeks. I'm aiming for 1200 calories a day. No breakfast, small lunch no carbs ideally, normal dinner.

No snacks, max 1 glass of wine. I'm not thinking about food all the time. My job is quite stressful and I would eat a big bag of Cadburys buttons on the way home which was awful. That's all stopped! So saving money there as well and the shame of eating secretly in the car !

No side effects. I tried saxenda last year and it made me feel so nauseous and was a daily injection.

I've got another 1.5 stone to go...set a loose goal of xmas. I definitely need to up my water intake next, been reaching for diet Pepsi more.

I've just done my second injection. I was hungry yesterday and had a ham sandwhich for a quick fix, I was very bloated all afternoon afterwards with trapped wind pains.

I'm not calorie counting, just not snacking which I know is my main issue as I do eat relatively healthy anyway !

I've lost 9 lbs in first week and just done second injection.
I get trapped wind pain at night quite bad and odd waves of mild nausea.
I'm hardly eating 800 calories a day, but feel fantastic, I did a 10 km run this morning no problem at all.
Will be interesting to see what second week brings...

How's everyone getting on ?
I've lost about 15 pounds so far and tomorrow will be my 4th injection.
I'm going up to 5mg on the next order

I had my third injection this morning, 9lbs down in total so far and feeling good.

I'm definitely cold though hahaha but apart from a little bit of nausea feeling for a couple of days I've been great!

My first injection was early this morning. I haven't eaten that much (a nectarine and packet soup), and part of me thinks is this because of the Mounjaro or because I want it to work 😀

I haven't been cold at all? But definitely had a little nausea after the first injection. Nothing how !

It'll be the mounjaro ! It's just completely taken aaay wanting to snack for me, I still eat my meals, usually leave a bit now though. But I do love the fact I don't think about food. I still want to eat as I enjoy food, so I'm glad I'm not sick to my stomach as that just sounds miserable

I've just done my fourth injection, and I cannot believe how much medicine is left in the pen ! There's a full dose there !

That sounds perfect! I keep looking up when it is due to take effect.

I ate more in the afternoon and had tea and toast in the evening as I was hungry (I don't usually).

But, when I compare it with the rest of the day. I did not eat any chocolate or crisps; even when grating cheese for dinner, I did not have a handful, which I normally would.

Great job on your 4th injection! Have you found that you're feeling less hungry? Are you thinking about increasing to 5mg?

It's usually a little more than a usual dose.
Have a read through the Continuing Mounjaro threads and learn about getting the 5th dose out.
Saves you money as it's a week free for you.

Did my 4th yesterday. Was also hmmm at the amount left. I didn't lose any weight on week 3 but I didn't put any on either. Will have to see where we are next Tuesday but maybe I need to go up to 5mg now.

@Studyartic Yes I'm definitely less hungry but I do find it's wearing off by the time I'm due my next injection. I don't get hunger pains like you usually would, but I do know I could eat if that makes sense? Yes definitely going up to 5mg I feel I need to now.

@OvaHere Same here, I haven't lost any this week either, haven't put any on but weight loss has stalled I think on the 2.5mg so I'm going up either next week or the week after depending if I can get this bonus dose out the pen!!

Thank you, that is really helpful. Day 3 here on 2.5mg and less appetite. My mind seems clearer too; maybe not subject to varying blood sugar levels helps?

@Studyartic It could well be ! I've seen alot of people say they feel better mentally aswell on weight loss injections. Must be something to do with it.
I didn't see much weight loss the first week, but the second I lost 9 pounds and now I really see it in the mirror, just feel so much better in myself for it. I want to lose another 14 pounds I think and that'll take me to around 10 stone, so a few pounds heavier than I was when I fell pregnant with dd1. I'm just worrying about stopping and it all coming back on !!

Well done on your weight loss 🙂. I have at least ten stone to shift.

It is interesting to see what happens when we stop at Mounjaro. Could our set-point change after some time? The new gut microbiome that didn't know my previous weight?

I guess I am going to find out 😀

@Studyartic Good luck on your journey, you will shift it on this stuff, it's actually amazing how it stops you thinking about food !
Just was worried before starting as so many people on threads were saying they were sick as a dog, can't eat etc and I thought, I love food ! I want to eat I just don't want to over eat, but I've been okay so far. I will update you on the 5mg I might be saying differently in a couple of weeks.
Sad to say though I'm still munching biscuits at night 🤦‍♀️ not sure why it hasn't stopped that craving !!

It's all a process, isn't it. I had toast the other night; I guess it's our brains and bodies getting used to the change(s).
