Hi, I am a carer to a disabled DC and looking to lose quite a bit of weight. I have eaten out of emotional support for a while now, I think. I don’t really eat very much in terms of meal sizes but I am an awful snacked and binge eater. In additional to all of that, I now eat until I feel sick. Never happened before becoming a carer and I now have a horrendous relationship with food.

I am lucky that I have an hourglass figure and I’m ‘solid’ if that makes sense. Definitely obese now at 13.7 stone and 5’2. But I don’t jiggle if that makes sense, it’s all very solid.
I am worried about looking too ‘thin’ as my body type looks a bit strange that way.

With the weight I am now, I’m starting to feel it physically and just can’t afford to do that. Those risks are too high, I need to be here a long time to care for my DC.

My question is, does Mounjaro actually make you look unwell or is that just the weight loss when it becomes too much?

For example, there are some fair examples of celebs on it and their faces look drawn in and just really awful. Is this weight loss related or something specific Mounjaro is doing?

I have heard about the cancer risks, but can anyone point me in the direction of what those actually are, how good those studies are and if those risks are higher than those associated with obesity anyway?

Second of all, where does the cheapest for the first dose?

Thank you, I really appreciate any advice :)

I honestly wouldn't worry about looking too thin right now - it's a form of self sabotage before you even start. MJ does not make you look unwell.

The cancer risk is for thyroid cancer I believe and this was seen in animal testing but I'm not particularly knowledgeable about that. It has not been seen on any human - again, someone else will hopefully know more about this than me

The celebs that are doing this are already ridiculously thin and are on ozempic. And they have mostly all had botox and surgery as well. They wouldn't get a prescription for it in the UK. Don't worry about them.
