Hey ladies I am just wondering if any of you had problems with fertility since taking this? I haven't started yet but if I ain't pregnant this month I'm going to have a break and just focus on my weight loss journey for a while. I am 5ft4 and 14stone. My bmi is classed as obese and I have tried so so hard to lose weight naturally but honestly I don't have the motivation, I am constantly hungry, if I get stressed or upset it ='s me to food🤣 so I really want to give mounjaro a go. But the only thing making me iffy about it is the fertility side. Thanks for reading ❤️

It’s such a new drug I’m not sure anyone could answer it on a personal level for sure. Obviously losing weight can definitely help conception but you’d probably need to come off Mounjaro and have a gap. Your best bet would be to message one of the clinical teams from one of the big suppliers. I highly recommend VOY they are very helpful and you can contact them directly via their website. They have doctors/pharmacists etc so could give you the most informed information.

I totally get you im such an emotional/stress eater it’s a nightmare. Mounjaro has been a game changer for me, I’m 11lb down in 3 weeks minimal side effects.

I think the drug is too new to give you an answer!

So you need to make a clear decision about what you want to do because the drug hasn’t been tested on pregnant women. This does not mean that anything bad would happen to pregnant women, just that it has not been tested so no one could say with certainty.

I don’t think the concern is impact to fertility, more that we don’t know if the drug can impact an unborn child and pregnancy.

All I can say is that through research, if you stop taking the drug then it stops working. Ie you need to go back to the beginning if you resume treatment and you’re likely to regain weight you have lost. You don’t need to wean off it like other drugs. Therefore it may be unlikely to impact your body once you stop taking it, but no one knows for sure.

Be aware, if you use oral contraception once you stop trying you need to also use a barrier method while starting or increasing doses of MJ as there is a warning when you order, when you are approved and in the patient info it could harm the baby so that needs to be taken seriously.

I am well past the TTC stage of my life, not sure how I would have felt about using MJ before I have completed my family. I would have probably have been concerned about it and done a shit load of research.

that’s interesting. I’m my 20s and don’t have kids yet. I’m not TTC as I don’t feel ready yet lol

It didn’t cross my mind to be concerned about MJ as I’m still not trying to conceive now. I think once you’ve lost the weight and come off it, it’s unlikely to impact TTC. However it’s not recommended to use it and simultaneously TTC so don’t go into it thinking you can do both OP. Again, it’s not that anything bad will happen, it’s just that no one knows what could happen so there’s no point risking it.
