Hello. Started Mounjaro today. I'm 41, currently a size 20 and weigh 103 kg.
Cannot despite this diet successfully so hoping this will help.

Took my first injection today and just hoping it works!

I know to drink lots of water and keep meals small. Any other tips?

Thank you Flowers

@WeightLossGoal2024 You can move pharmacies for a higher pen. You just need to show proof of current prescription either via a pic of your box with the label showing your name etc or with a copy of the prescription from your current supplier.

Thanks @IReallyNeedThisToWork I did not know this!

Feeling really nauseous tonight so not having the glass of wine I was really looking forward to! Had a very busy day with kid's activities so didn't manage to drink as much water as I have been.

Back to work tomorrow so back to drinking loads of water during the day!

I'm on 7.5mg of mounjaro now, started in May and have lost nearly 2:stone. 1 pound to go. Food noise returned 4 days in after taking each pen. No food noise and lots of suppression on 7.5, all good so far.
I went with the family chemist and then changed to Curate health.
It's been amazing, best decision I've made!

I’m 4 days in now and luckily haven’t noticed any unwanted side effects yet…

I’ve definitely noticed that “food noise” is significantly reduced which is one of my biggest pitfalls normally.

@eaglebeagle24 that’s amazing, well done!

@WeightLossGoal2024 hope you are feeling better today.

I’ve just ordered Mounjaro with Voy. I don’t know how I feel about it to be honest - we’re away for a week at the end of the month then I have a weekend away with friends in September and the thought of having side effects/ not being able to have a drink/ not enjoying the lovely food is depressing me. But I also feel stuck and desperate with my weight (5ft 7, around 15 stone, age 44). Over the last 10 years or so I’ve gone up and down between around 12 stone and current weight, managed to get about 2 stone off last year but try as I might I’ve just not been able to get started this year, have watched weight creeping up again and every time I try to do anything about it I manage a day or two before going back to binge eating. I am so scared of the drugs and so annoyed with myself it’s come to this but honestly don’t know what else to try.

@AuntieDote I have been to a family gathering and had people over to stay since starting Mounjaro. I honestly enjoyed myself more than I usually would because I'm not stressed about eating/not eating, and generally giving myself a hard time for being very overweight. I just tasted bits and pieces of the food that appealed to me, and was able to stop and not overeat. I also didn't want to eat any of the high fat/sugar stuff beyond a small taste. I really enjoyed the various salad/vegetable dishes that there were. It was a revelation that I didn't feel hungry, or deprived or anxious around food.

First week completed, I’ve just weighed myself and I’ve lost 5 and a half pounds, which has taken me into the next stone bracket. Absolutely delighted with that! Aware that most of that will be water weight and it will slow down.

@WeightLossGoal2024 how have you got on?

@AuntieDote has your Mounjaro arrived yet?

@YouveGotAFastCar how are you getting on this week?

How is everyone else doing?

AuntieDote · 01/08/2024 10:05

@MuckyMessy 5lbs is amazing, well done!

Not received it yet, just had the tracking info that it's coming today which is typical as it's the one day this week everyone is out all day - I've gone onto royal mail and asked for tomorrow instead.

MuckyMessy · 01/08/2024 17:07

@AuntieDote that’s just typical isn’t it!

Thank you today is a very good day between stepping on the scales this morning and finding out I’ve passed my degree nothing is going to wipe the smile off my face. 🎓

WeightLossGoal2024 · 05/08/2024 01:11

Congratulation!

I've lost 3lbs. Still no side effects and I'm going to try to further reduce my portions and increase my protein this week to see if I can lose more in the next week or so!
