Bonus doses

I know lots of people have used the bonus dose in the 2.5 pen as a stepping stone to the 5 pen, as the bonus dose seems to have more than 2.5 in it.
Does anyone happen to know how much is in the bonus dose for a 5 pen? Im on 5 at the moment, I have another 5 pen waiting to go in the fridge, but I thought I’d try and use the bonus dose first if possible. But I was concerned it might be too much.

@Snozzlemaid So the 5th dose using the hard twist method is the same as the other doses? You only get the larger dose if you use a separate extraction syringe? It's all so confusing 😂

Or you can use an insulin syringe as below to extract the 5th dose from your pen.

This way you will know what dose you are getting.
Most say they get more than the 0.6ml of the usual dose.
I only had a little bit more at 0.65 ml.

I think there is a limit to how far down the plunger will go, so yes you may not get every drop out this way.

This is why I use an insulin syringe.

I like to know exactly what amount I'm injecting into myself.

I also don't like the idea of chucking out such an expensive medication. Even 0.2ml represents a third of a full dose.

Hi, might be a silly question but when you do the hard twist, what should be showing in the little window? Is it still going to be a number 1?
About to try to get the bonus dose out tomorrow.
thanks!
