How do WL injections work?

I'm overweight, have lost 2.5 stone already through LCD, I never really have an appetite and am having great results through basically not really eating much at all. Not ideal I know but I'm still 18 and a half stone and so desperate to lose the weight. Being 50 and having an under active thyroid makes it harder. So I'm happy with how things are going, and figured that WL injections or WL surgery has just the same effect or is there something different about them that works better?

Reducing appetite…..
Mounjaro delays gastric emptying which promotes a sense of fullness, reduces appetite and naturally reduces calorie intake, and helps to regulate blood sugar levels by slowing down the absorption of glucose from food.
Increasing energy expenditure…..
Mounjaro activates receptors that boost metabolic rate and energy use, aiding in calorie burning.
Improving insulin sensitivity….
The modulation of GIP receptors enhances glucose utilisation, contributing to sustained satiety and weight maintenance.

I didn’t have much of an appetite before starting either, more snacking…
I’ve managed to lose 14lb in 4 weeks so it’s definitely helping me

Hey @ThereIsAlwaysWine not sure what your question means really, I mean, weight loss surgery is literally a physical modification to your body so that you can't eat so much food, whereas the injections suppress actual appetite. So two completely different things.
I suppose an analogy would be if you suffered from trigeminal neuralgia (a type of headache) there's a surgery that involves cutting the trigeminal nerve so that the pain literally cannot transmit, and then there's painkillers. Two completely different sorts of treatment.
Personally I would never consider weight loss surgery (I'm not knocking it for those who need it) but I'm quite comfortable with being on Wegovy and so far it's working well for me and I anticipate weaning myself off it sooner or later having made changes to my diet and feelings about food. Surgery is permanent. No going back, taking a break, changing your mind.

I've got a code for Voy if you or anyone is interested. Up to £85 off (I don't know why it's 'up to', I'm just quoting the website). I'm finding their service very good!
