Did you have a tea length wedding dress?...

If so how did you make it look glamerous? I'm swaying towards a tea length but my mum doesn't think it's glam enough for me! Every bride I seem to see has the same style of dress and I want to be different!

Let's see pics!!

My lovely SIL did she very short and petite she looked amazing. I think a tea length can be very glamorous also must be easier.

Yes I had a lovely lace dress. It's the accessories that glam up any wedding dress I think. I had a tiara/headband that added some glam and nice shoes. I LOVED being able to dance and move around comfortably and feel myself.

meinadress · 07/08/2019 20:15

I guess it depends what glamour means to you? I wanted to feel comfy and look still pretty much like me on my wedding day. I loved my dress (ballerina length rather than tea), but the thing that made it even better were the shoes Grin

I thought ballerina and tea length were the same thing 😍🙈 love it!

I have tea length for my wedding in two weeks (eeshk) and I have a petticoat for under it. Never thought it wasn't glamourous enough at all!

superram · 07/08/2019 21:09

I love them but I looked like a 5 year old going to a birthday party. They can look glamorous with fab shoes and unusual headwear.

Orangesox · 07/08/2019 21:13

I had ballerina length too, in an oyster colour with a white lace overlay. I had quite simple classic accessories which I felt were pretty elegant. The most attractive part for me was knowing that should I need to change my shoes, I wouldn’t be dragging my dress all over a dirty floor and looking like I’d tried on someone else’s clothes Grin

Mine was custom, but based on this design. This is my kind of glamorous though: timeless, elegant, beautifully cut.

Cor orangesox that's really amazing.

I had this dress for my wedding and definitely felt glamorous in it, search 'Bright Belle' they do lots of different tea length dresses. I also didn't have to worry about tripping up on the dress or my dress train getting ruined outside.

I did and loved it.

I think they're really glamourous, moreso than the strapless meringues a lot of brides have.

Spudlet · 07/08/2019 21:35

This was my dress, I felt very glam in it. It was a Loulou Bridal dress. It felt fantastic all day!

I love the tea length design and seriously considered it but as i’m only 5 foot I couldn’t seem to find one that didn’t make me look stumpy.

Fabulous dress & shoes 💃

MsSquiz · 07/08/2019 22:45

This was mine. I'm 5'1" and knew straight away I wanted a tea length dress. It's a custom made dress by House of Mooshki in ivory. It also meant I got to show off my blue shoes Grin

@MsSquiz your dress is gorgeous!! Right up my street!! Do you have anymore pics you don't mind sharing?

Mine is perhaps a little plain, but worked well for a summer wedding. The ribbon belt is separate.

Of course Grin any excuse to show it off, I love it! It's just hanging in my spare room's wardrobe.

It was based on their Florence dress, but we changed the lace to peacock pattern and changed the back and cap sleeves.

It was so easy to dance in, plus you can pull off an amazing twirl!

CottonSock · 08/08/2019 14:41

I did. Also 5 foot 1 and didn't even consider full length

ZincOxideEugenol · 08/08/2019 14:47

I'm 5ft3 and had a tea length dress. I wore irregular choice shoes with it. I loved that there was no faffing about with a train, it was easy to go to the loo and my shoes could be seen too!

I'm 4ft 11 and wore a full length dress with a hoop.

cricketmum84 · 08/08/2019 14:54

I had tea length, fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. I felt it was much more flattering on my figure than a full princess style would have been. Plus it meant we could theme the whole wedding to 50s style ;)

I've got this dress but undecided at the moment.

I want to go and put mine on now, I haven’t worn it since the day. That was five years and one child ago... dare I see if it will do up?!

MissMoodyMoo · 11/08/2019 09:48

I LOVE this dress from house of Mooshki.
My mum reckons it looks tacky and "gypsie" because it's long at the back and short at the front 😓

What would your thoughts be if you attend a wedding with the bride wearing this type of dress?
