Walking down the "aisle" music...

I am getting married in a hotel and the venue will be decorated for a winter wedding (lights/candles etc). The "aisle" such as it is is quite short and I am struggling to think of what music to have playing - too traditional doesn't seem quite right but neither does modern?

Any ideas? Confused

YY to Vitamin String Quartet, they gave us loads of ideas. We got married last week and I went up the aisle to the Bridal March, but had There Is a Light That Never Goes Out and All I Want Is You during the non-subscribing presbyterian service (where the hymns would be) and then exited to Pulp's Disco 2000.

Love is in the air, waiting for a star to fall are a couple that I remember.

I walked up the aisle (registry office) to an instrumental version of 'Whiter Shade of Pale' which actually borrows from Bach's 'Air (on G string). We had 'Forever' by Ben Harper for the signing of the register and the orchestral instrumental version of 'Design for Life' to walk back up the aisle.

I'm thinking of getting a trumpeteer and walking down to the trumpet (and maybe double bass?) playing 'La Vie En Rose'.

I walked up to Ennio marcone 'Gabriel's Oboe' and out to Ding Dong Merrily on High (Christmas wedding).

My DP wants me to walk down to the aisle to the Imperial March!

Canon in D here too, I know it's very trad but it gives me all the feels. We used loads of vitamin string quartet for the drinks reception through

I'm not engaged but the OH and I have talked about weddings (we wanted to buy a house before we got engaged ((just signed contract on Friday eeee!))). We don't have any special songs apart from Common People by Pulp (drunken first dance when we met, and several times after it just makes us laugh!). Not a very romantic or 'first dance' song so I think we want to go with the Vitamin String Quartet version to walk down aisle. As others have said check them out, they have a huge range.

Northern Sky by Nick Drake for going up the aisle
One Hand, One Heart from West Side Story at the signing of the register
Highland Cathedral for going down the aisle
