How much were your flowers?

So...I have some ideas of what I want in terms of flowers. The venue is beautiful but the decoration is plain white so very much a blank canvas to decorate.

I know that the flowers I want will be expensive...but I'm wondering how expensive exactly?

My Future-MIL said to budget £7k which I disregarded as a massive over estimation but the florist I'm going to says she has a minimum order of £2k so perhaps she's not as far off the mark as I thought

So a bit of a dilemma...the flowers will be a big part of the decoration budget and I knew it would be more than the £500 or so average spend.

How much did you spend on flowers and have you regretted it?

Any pictures of what you got for your money?

I'm in Surrey so that doesn't help with prices either...

We were married at hotel so no church flowers required.

As for £7k for flowers I can only imagine some tacky wall of flowers like the Kim K/Kanye wedding!?

My flowers I've been quoted just shy of 5k.

1 x Shower bouquet that is about 75cm long
2 x Handtied bouquets for bridesmaid
5 x buttonholes
10ft long top table cluster
6 x table centrepieces but there kind of doubled up and on candleabras instead
Flowers for the cake in between the tiers
Font arrangement
3 x Large clusters around church arch
Kissing ball to be dangled in between the gate
18 x Pues in the church

Choice of flowers make a massive dent on the flower budget. I'm in love with flowers and I do believe it sets the atmosphere for the wedding but just my opinion. I've got 2 types of lillies, 4 types of roses, gypsophilia, carnations, hydrangea, foliage. My colours are very light and pastel think blush pinks and ivories. Hopefully it'll all come together. The big day is in June so I'll let you know haha!
