DP and I are getting married the summer after next so trying to work out what we need to save and do.

I have no idea where to get started though. I have no clue what a wedding needs to include. I really just want a list with absolutely everything that might be involved and budgeted for. I've found checklists but they all have different things on and some have things I'd find weird (three make up practices?!)

Help! Where do I get started?! I know where I want to marry and where I want the reception to be, but that's it Confused

Stop: I get sucked in by googling stuff! Blush

I have now found the two venues though and they are significantly cheaper than I originally planned! I had to change my original wedding venue as it was just too expensive (Lewes Castle, £1200 I think it worked out at!) but have found another place run by Sussex Past (Anne of Cleaves House) and we went last week to enquire so will be booking that just after Christmas :) We've also found a village hall just outside of Lewes which looks promising for the reception venue, just need to find out if we'd be able to set up the room the day before and if we could have a good price on it!

Now we just need to organise everything else :) We even have the date! Struggling to find a caterer for the Indian that we like but the cheese feast will be easy by the looks of things. The style of dress I want is popular at the moment so you can buy them for less than £100 on ebay (lace over a simple dress) but I want to try on some other styles before I commit. I'm getting very excited and I have just under two years to wait Hmm
