We went camping driving round france.. Was so relaxed and chilled. Didn't have a plan - just drove to where we fancied.

Lake maggiore Italy.

Hotel in London after wedding. Train to Paris. Lunch there. Train to Milan. Stop over in Milan in Marriott suite. Train to the lake and then boat to hotel. (Flights home) then 2wks of hopping on and off water taxis looking at the lake. So peaceful calm Italian and magical..... Sigh.....

Such an adventure! Felt very relaxed and old world and loved every single second. Thoroughly recommend!!!

We went to New Zealand for 2 weeks and saw as much of the country as possible in that time on public transport - 2 nights in Auckland, a night with my friend who has emigrated to live in a small town near Auckland, 2 nights in Rotorua, a night in Wellington, a night in Kaikoura, 3 nights in Christchurch, flew back to Auckland for the last night before flying home. Not very relaxing (especially as flight timings meant we had to go back to work on the Monday after the wedding until we left on the Friday), but it was the holiday of a life-time and we would never have been able to justify the expense otherwise.

We went to Australia for a month. We stayed in a backpackers hostel. Hired a car and drove around the Northern Territory. Crocodile tours, boat trips. Rainforest. Then we flew to Cairns and did the Reef etc .. amazing honeymoon.

Train from St Pancras to Sienna in Italy (change in Paris) then travelled around Italy by train. Best bit was Amalfi.

When we got married I worked in a 4* hotel and part of my present from the management was a room for my honeymoon night. Pure luxury, t'was lovely, especially as a lot of our wedding guests were staying as well. So we wandered through town in all our finery when our reception finished with a good chunk of our wedding party. Sat in the bar and had a few more drinks with our friends and my friends who were working that night. We were offered breakfast in bed the next day but we decided to come down to the restaurant to be with everyone which was fantastic.

Then we went to my in laws where a lot of family and friends had gathered for lunch and then off to my mums where we went out to a country pub for dinner with a load of of friends and family.

Then another lovely night at the hotel before poodling off in the car to the ferry for ten days in a gorgeous gite in the Loire region of France. We had such fun exploring the villages and chateaus and towns and rivers and, and, and... Well it was just lovely and was our wedding present from my DP's.

2 weeks in Barbados .
Travelled to Gatwick the day after the wedding , flew to Barbados the following day ( British Caledonian .... A long time ago .. )
Someone said ^^ about being ill on honeymoon , we both had a day , not the same day , when we just felt overwhelmed , emotional , and just exhausted . might have been too much sex we hadn't even lived together before we married .

2 nights in Singapore, 2 weeks in Bali.

Pita Maha in Ubud (4 nights) - truly magical.

Bali Hyatt, Sanur (10 nights) - wonderful and relaxing as it was our honeymoon, but could have been anywhere IYSWIM - very commercialised.
