Storms for three consecutive days?! Really?

I live in Worthing and have family coming to stay this week. All very excited about the beach etc. just checked the forecast and it’s showing storms every day for four days from Monday to Thursday?! Is this likely? We’ve never had this before and I’m tearing my hair out wondering how on earth to entertain them and their three kids indoors if we have constant downpours.

last time I looked before this it was about a 20% chance of light rain and sun which I could deal with!

any expert wisdom (and hope!) greatly appreciated, thank you!

North Wales Three evenings of thunderstorms, rain every time. Yesterday driving on A55 hit torrential rain couldn't see in front of us. The anti cyclone sitting over Ireland isn't helping
