Hello. I have always been told that weetabix is fine from 6 months, so I have been givng my DD some for breakfast in the mornings. However, I have now been told they have too much salt.

Whats everybodys opinions on weetabix?

If not weetabix, whats a good baby breakfast? We sometime have fruit: banana etc or maybe a yogurt. Have tried toast, and currently offer it at lunch, but most ends up on the floor

weetabix, shredded wheat occasionally cheerios, grapes, bananas, strawberries and whatever he can find on the floor. If we have had bacon etc on wk end he has a little taster and he does like a little marmite on toast. BLW in our house.

Ds loves cheerios He does a dance and claps and shouts "yeah" when he sees me pouring them at breakfast Dp says they are laced with crack

Until recently though ds had porridge most mornings, sometimes eggy bread or pancakes.

Sainsbury do puffed wheat, in other words sugar puffs without the sugar. They go down well too.

Shredded wheat bite size, with a bit of cinnamon to add a bit of flavour.

Weetabix is great. DS1 has eaten a whole one in the mornings since 6 months old. REady Brek is not necessary as porridge if you don't get whole oats is not too lumpy for a 6 month old.

weatabix is great till it comes to nappy change time!

shredded wheat ok, shredded wheat bitesize easier

porridge takes to long to cook and cool for dds patience most mornings

dd has had all these since weaning and is now at two allowed cornflakes too, if you start them on healthy cereal they grow to love it. DD eats two weatabix and has been known to eat it dry (yuck!) when left alone with the shopping!

My DC had/have weetabix, rice krispies or ready brek from 6mths ish. Combining it with banana seemed to prevent the "weetabix poo" phenomenon.

The main problem with weetabix IME is that once dried on to wooden table/highchair it has to be practically sanded off again .
